They'll Try To Sacrifice Rummy
As I wrote about on http://teenageenthusiast.blogspot.com (Check it out!), You can bet that in the coming weeks and months that the Bushies will try to place all the blame for the Iraq mess on Rumsfeld. Because theres no way they can take the responsibility themselves.

Or thats my opinion at least. What do you think?

2. Oh they won't kill Rummy.
Rumsfeld is one of the PNAC boys actually running the country. He's an architect of their Grand Plan. That's why, despite his significant mistakes, he's still on board.

Without the PNAC people, there's no Bush presidency. http://www.newamericancentury.org/

Least that's what I think.

8. Rummy followed old advice...when Washington heats up
get out of town.

Unfortunately for him, Iraq isn't going to get better soon. The Beltway Buzzards will get another crack at him soon.

5. No I disagree
The right doesn’t know how to admit mistakes or error committed. They will simply jump ship the first face saving opportunity they get. They will claim a job well done regardless of the reality. To them reality is perception.

11. I hope they jump ship.
I think that no matter what, Iraq will degenerate into a civil war. I would prefer that the UN come in and stabilize the region, but what are the chances of that happening? First, I doubt the UN wants to clean up the US's mess after we were TOLD not to go into Iraq just yet. Secondly, I rather doubt the UN would be greeted as liberators, either. The Sunni, Shia and Kurds don't get along. There will be a war. :(

I didn't read it, but there was a thread advocating breaking up Iraq. I know the Kurds have a region of Iraq where they mostly reside, but what about the Sunni and Shia?

Thanks a lot, Chimp. I bet the Iraqis are so very grateful that you "liberated" them. :(

7. Sorry, not going to happen. Even if it did...
...you won't see any sympathy from me. Go ahead and sacrifice him, preferably in a process involving gavels and jurors.

12. It ain't gonna happen
They have a big agenda ahead....and Rummy and Rove, the neocons, et al are all salivating thinking about the possibilities. You think the first 4 years were bad....stay tuned.

They have to destroy social security.

They have to restructure the defense department so that it is pretty much directly in bed with the defense contractors. This is all part of a bold dynamic (read Thomas Barnett) of having the military and politics all come together in one great global force.

The Iraq mess is something none of these scum bags lose any sleep about because they still don't think they did much of anything wrong. They still lust for the eventual day that Iraq would be a business meca and capitalistic forces dominate the region. The loses to them on our side are acceptable and what is destroyed on the other side is irrelevant.

14. you would think so...
After four years of finger pointing and blaming everyone else for their screw-ups, you would think that the American people would be getting tired of excuses. But, nothing happens to these guys -- nothing. They keep telling one lie after another after another...and getting away with it.

Why should they take responsibility? No one is going to call them on anything...just blame someone else.

Sorry if this post is rambling but I am so sick and tired of this administration and all of their bullshit.

16. Rumsfailed is a puppet *master*. He's one of the folks who need to be gone
Edited on Tue Dec-28-04 05:21 PM by w4rma
the most. Him, Rove, Cheney and Wolfowitz are puppet masters (note that they are also puppets for the ultra-wealthy robber barons who are the real puppet masters). And that is why I am skeptical that he will leave before Shrub's term is up. If Repugs win or "win" in 2008, I think Rumsfailed may STILL be in the cabinet if he hasn't gotten too old/sick to stay.

17. Rummy IS "They"; make no heaps of bones about it
He's long since considered himself the Secretary of State, and his influence and ambition are limitless. These are "men" in the absolutely worst sense of the word; they'll neither admit a mistake nor stop to ask for directions.

He's gonna be around asking himself questions and answering them for a goodly long time.
