What's the best city for activism?
D.C.? New York? San Francisco?

It's about time to move again. Where should I go?

<singing> We gotta get out of this place...</singing>

If the thread originator wants to move, how about picking a place that you really want to live in and then agitate? ;-)

7. exactly, last thing SF needs is more "activists"
Activists need to go where activity is needed.

2. Surprisingly, I'm seeing quite a bit in Columbus, Ohio
right outside the Capitol Building and, of course, Kenny Blackwell's office.

4. In terms of US cities, its awfully hard to top San Francisco

There's almost always something going on in that city. It's got a good reason for being the most liberal cityiin America. Many many young idealistic, activist-minded liberals populate the region. You should have no problem being politically active there (The cost of living, on the other hand, is a different story).

However, European cities often put US cities to shame when it comes to political activism. Go to Paris, Rome, or Berlin and witness the frequent strikes and daily protests and you'll see that even the most liberal American cities have a long way to go.

5. Boulder Colorado is great.
Tons of activists here. One of the most liberal places in the country. Plus we can use every Democrat that we can get to help turn Colorado back into a blue state.

8. Where are you now?
What sort of activism do you want?

Do you just want to sip lattes with the Hip Activists or actually start something?
