Is there anything POSITIVE going on for our side? |
|
There's no dearth of negative articles (about what the Powers That Be are up to) and descriptions of outrageous incidents going on-- my question is, isn't anything going our way? The fact that I see so little encouraging news (here and on other liberal sites)-- does that mean there ISN'T any? Or that the bad news, as always, tends to get more press?
What do you guys think?

2. Looks like the Dems are gonna squeek through with electing |
|
Christine Gregoire in Washington State. The manual recount put her over the top and the Secretary of State is to certify her today. Repukes efforts to undermine her victory appear to be dwindling.

Also Obama is a senator (I saw him on CSPAN the other day and I was impressed-- no notes, no nothing, and he spoke so beautifully, INTELLIGENTLY, and naturally-- I was in absolute agreement with everything he said. I think he'll make a fine senator)
And, for the first time in 40+ years, Dems control both houses of Colorado's legislature
We (this "government") is getting flak for being so stingy re foreign aid
Anytime * is criticized, as far as I'm concerned, it's a good sign.

6. The Dems in Montana took Leadership of the House!! |
|
There was a tie race w/ a repuke, and the Dem won. So now the Montana House is split 50-50. Since there is a Dem governor, his team gets to "lead".... i.e., committee chairs, etc.
That's a good thing! And DU is still up and running! THAT is a good thing! :)
