Cursed Be His Name (How I Cope Lately)

I've been out of touch with DU for the last few weeks (my father is having health problems, and my hard drive had to be replaced). I'm going to be brief as I share my thoughts on what has been happening lately, and the way I cope.

1) "Christians" -- in general, I am now making every person who "claims" to be a Christian explain to me if they follow the teachings of the "Prince of Peace" or Charles Manson. "Kill them all in the name of the Lord" is something fans of "Helter Skelter" would applaud, while I am convinced Jesus weeps at the suffering of innocents inflicted by the Anti-Christ currently residing in the White House. Outing "Mansonites" so that I can despise them is one of the few things I can do to "educate" the public on evilness. I hope they can learn to feel shame, but if they can't, at least they can feel my scorn. Jesus forgives those who are penitent; my "forgiveness" isn't free, either.

2) "Election Fraud" -- after working on investigating the election, there is no doubt in my mind the election was "stolen." In fact, I am now convinced we are living in the beginnings of a fascist dictatorship. The Republican corruption is on par with the Nazi party, and Bush = Hitler in my mind. I curse his name. I find the Democratic Party to be a complete waste, and their "incompetence" borders on treason. (The Republicans have officially crossed over.) Stalin was right; it isn't who votes that counts -- its who counts the votes. I will continue to speak my truths on this matter, but frankly do not expect it to do any good -- decency has been subverted to corruption, and evil seems to reign. I grieve the loss of my country, and pray for justice to triumph. And NO ONE can say the name of the Anti-Christ in front of me without my loud, vehement, angry cry of "CURSED BE HIS NAME!" It shocks people who want to pretend this crime against democracy isn't taking place -- "but he's the president!" is now answered by me with "NO, HE'S THE ANTI-CHRIST, AND THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO ARE OKAY WITH THAT ARE EITHER STUPID OR WORSHIPERS OF SATAN -- WHICH ARE YOU?"

These are the small ways I am coping with the evil that is this administration. I am angry; I am NOT over the TREASON that has been committed. I do not believe there is anything we can legally do to change our current circumstances, and my nature is not such that I can commit illegal acts, so I must settle for verbal acts to express my outrage. At the end of the day, the bills must still be paid, even if my country isn't a democracy any longer.

I now understand how the average non-Nazi German felt in the late 1930's, and for that, I say again, CURSED BE HIS NAME.

doing a "voodoo" doll and instead of sticking pins in for torture (too cruel for even me) allowing your dog or cat to play with it...all the while knowing the image it's created in. Or, symbolically taking the image to some place and flinging it off a cliff or throwing it deep in the ocean...or burying it in the back yard...

These acts of defiance are important to that "worldwide meme." I hope so...anyway. TAKE HEART...GOOD WORK YOU DID!

7. You are entitled to your therapy, but . . .

I hope you will reconsider responding to supporters of you know who with "NO, HE'S THE ANTI-CHRIST, AND THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO ARE OKAY WITH THAT ARE EITHER STUPID OR WORSHIPERS OF SATAN -- WHICH ARE YOU?" Nobody is more outraged and angry by what you know who and his minions have done, and plan to do, to our environment, wildlife and its diminishing habitats, the nation's reputation throughout the world, the liberties granted by the Bill of Rights, the military and their families, health "care", Social Security, the federal judiciary, and many other outrages too numerous to mention.

But responding in the way you describe does not do anything to move us toward spreading the word rationally and honestly to people who are not informed as to what is happening. Talk of anti-Christs and Satan-worship only gives supporters of you know who ammunition with which to shoot you down as a raving over-the-top, raging hater of you know who.

Please do not lose your ability to educate, not alienate, those who we must convert to stop the worst from happening.

This is a keeper. I, too, am continually looking for ways to cope in the midst of this madness.

In fact, I think there should be a DU group devoted to "coping strategies". It's really important, so we all don't go screaming insane! :nuke:

9. Ida, I so understand but

Ida, your posts have always made me feel so hopeful for the future. The first post that I ever read from you was when you posted over at freerepublic.com. Remember that? You were trying to open up a dialogue with the folks over there. I remember thinking how brave you were to do that. You inspired me to change my website and endure the ridicule from friends and family.

There are good people in this country who want to help but don't know what to do. They are looking for a leader. We do need one and one will come. It might not be Kerry - who cares if it is or isn't.

Regardless, we are NOT good Germans! We will speak out. There are more of us than there are of them. We have the numbers. We will rise up. I believe this in my heart of hearts.

Without hope, there is nothing. We must have hope, Ida. We must have hope.

I totally agree with that statement. I will no longer support such treason. I am coping by turning off all media even including this site with the new year. Life is just to short for all the heartache. All I ever see is hate and arrogance and I don't need it in my life. Whether Bush* is the anti-christ or just a tool being used by evil forces I don't know or care but until America comes to it's senses I will no longer participate in any of America's activities. I have already felt a huge load lifted from me after I made that decision. Blessed be the Peace-Makers and you certainly can not accuse the Right of being such. They worship the "Terminator"
