WHY is Tucker hosting NEWSNIGHT
Edited on Wed Dec-29-04 10:28 PM by Brundle_Fly
so much for the last bastion of slightly non biased news on CNN.

They must be prepping him for his RW show on MSNBC.

4. He's been terrible.
He interviewed Carol Bellamy last night about UNICEF, and he couldn't let the "stingy" comment made earlier in the week by Engeland (sp?)go. She tried to steer him away from it by saying that Engeland had retracted it, but he just kept harping on it. Instead of reporting the news, he looked like he wanted to enter into a debate with Bellamy.

Ugh. It's just been painful to watch Newsnight this week. :eyes:

6. Because CNN has completely sold out
to the right wing . Liberals need to exert our considerable economic power by tuning out complicit media outlets and shunning corporations which sponsor lapdogs like Little Tucker .

8. He did yesterday, too
Brown must be on vacation.

This is the only fill-in they could come up with? Christ.

Notice how strained he looks trying to appear sincere.

9. Cuz we have a right-wing mandate in this country!!
Edited on Wed Dec-29-04 10:44 PM by high density
All of us want right-wing corporate news!! Yeeeeaaah!!

By the way, those new huge "ONLY ON CNN" and "NEW DEVELOPMENT" tabs they've added for the Tsunami coverage are just horrible and make me want to change the channel.

12. Aaron Brown is on Vacation and Tucker is in the middle of contract
renegotiations with CNN. MSNBC is trying to lure him away to give him his own prime-time horror show. So CNN threw him a bone and let him sub for Aaron Brown this week in primetime. They initially figured (probably) that it would be a slow news week and what damage could he possibly do? How wrong they were on both counts.
