Declaration of War
I am confused.
Did Congress officially authorize a "Declaration Of War" for "Operation Iraqi Freedom"?

1. No
I'm not even sure anymore what the last Declared war was. Long time ago.

4. World War II
Korea was a "Police Action", and Vietnam was a "Conflict".

WWII was the last time that Congress declared war.

2. Yes and no
Its more like the Gulf of Tonkin resolution in 64.
Congress authorized military if certain conditions were not met.
May they be damned for it.

5. Use of force
congress authorized use of force if necessary.

that's why Kerry and other dems got so much flack is that they signed on. It happened about six months prior to the invasion.

So in other words, Bush has a free pass to invade anywhere he wants.

6. They were suckered into it. Maybe
Or simpley lacked courage of conviction.

Any one with any sense would have voted no. i still blame them for hopping on the Chimp's bandwagon.

This kind of reminds me of the liberal opposition who supported Kaiser Welhelm's intention to act in accordance to its treaty with Austria Hungary and act in accordance with the Schifflin Plan to invade and sieze France. - out of patriotism.
