When politics drives judicial decisions where does Democracy come in?
With a majority repug party judicial system , what chance does election law have? What chance does Democracy have? Yesterday's decision by justice Moyer, shows the attitude of the repug legal system, law, Democracy be damned. If they pull this off, and it looks like a lock, Democracy is over.

to the effect of:

"And then there's the Supreme Court, whose only oversight is the icy scythe of death..."

2. Add a layer:
When the corporations drive the politics which drive the judicial system would be a more accurate statement...IMHO.

3. Conservative judges being activist partisans? Never happen.
Why, they said themselves that they're all strict constructionists. Or did they say "obstructionists" when it suits them.
