Tsunami: Scrhoeder cuts vacation short. Bush & Blair stay & have fun!!

What the hell kind of world leader remains on vacation during an international crisis such as this one, a natural mega-disaster that the world may never have seen the likes of before??? The answer is: George W. Bush and Tony Blair.

Hundreds of thousands have died and millions need immediate help, yet Bush and Blair don't feel the need to pack up their golf clubs and get to work like everyone else. At least Blair's country did dedicate a substantial amount of money to the relief effort, though.

Meanwhile, German Chancellor Schroeder cut his vacation short and returned home in order to deal directly with the crisis. Kudos to him.

Yeah, there are huge demographic problems, But the holidays and work-time thing is - at least partly - a myth. In a normal whitecollar job one does not have the fantastic benefits the US press loves to write about.
