Our old pal J.D. Hayworth (R-AZ) in hot water over fund-raising disclosure

JD likes to play "enabler" to Sean Hannity and is often a guest on Hannity & Colmes.

Skybox Scandal

Arizona Republican Congressman J.D. Hayworth (search) is in hot water after aides admit he failed 5 times to disclose the free use of stadium skyboxes for political fund-raisers.

What's more, the lobbyist who donated those skyboxes is under federal investigation for exploiting Native Americans. Hayworth's chief of staff told the Arizona Republic Hayworth thought the skyboxes were a gift from two Indian Tribes, not a lobbyist. Under campaign finance laws Hayworth could face a fine for failing to disclose the value of the donation.

2. Yes, but that's when he was binge eating. All those Twinkies clouded
his judgment (recall the SF murder defense, successful). He's off twinkies now and promises he'll never take another perk again. Honest, never. No more Twinkies either.

3. Sorry for the small hijack, but the whole twinkie defense thing is
essentially an urban legend. The misunderstanding arose because of very inaccurate reporting by the media at the time. (Sound familiar?) It was not argued that overconsumption of Twinkies caused diminished capacity. What was argued was that it was evidence of diminished capacity (rather than a cause). See http://www.snopes.com/legal/twinkie.htm for the full story.

4. Don't be sorry and Welcome to DU!!!
This is actually my expanded Twinkie defense boot strapping the SF case. The diminished capacity of Rep. Bloviator is already well established and on public record; but, little known by the general public, Twinkies NOW have added ingredients including trace elements of Viagra and Xanax. The unsuspecting Rep. Bloviator has been pounding these down for years and here you have it...the new Twinkie Defense.

Snopes, eat your heart out!
