Roger Ailes - FOX News, Chairman & CEO - Q&A Video
In a December 19 interview on C-SPAN's Q&A, FOX News Channel chairman and CEO Roger Ailes staunchly defended his network's "very fine journalists" who have "done an excellent job" and "come in every day to try to be fair." Ailes rebuffed questions of FOX News' objectivity, insisting that the "hard news we do is not in question." Ailes also emphasized the "journalistic standards" of the members of FOX News host Brit Hume's Special Report panel. Media Matters for America has documented numerous instances of inaccurate, incomplete, and distorted reporting from FOX's "hard news" reporters, as well as many examples of what Ailes apparently considers to be the "journalistic standards" of Special Report panelists.

The video of the Q&A episode is available.

1. Talking to Ailes regarding his faux policy of fair and balanced news is
an excercise in futility. Why bother? He along with Murdoch are trying to help the Bush cabal turn the globe into their private fiefdom. Welcome peasants and serfs! Now shut up and get back to your hovel!

individual.

But I find it interesting that he feels the need to crawl out of his hole and
defend Fox News.

3. Double Talk
I only watched the first 5-7 minutes or so. Talk about double talk.

"We have never retracted stories". Of course they have not "Conservatives" never make mistakes in their eyes. Their idology prevents it.

"were happy when we won the timeslot with CNN". Of course it is all about WINNING.

His comments about Journalist schools needing more "real life experience" and less schooling is utter crap. Part of the Reagan Rose Colored Glasses movement. Pointing out problems is part of the design of the media.

7. He actually said they "never" retracted stories? That's a bald face lie
right there and/or it's more proof that they are a just a propaganda outlet.

Every news outlet that tries to be credible WILL retract a story eventually, becaue noone has an infallability rate of 100%, so beware of those who lie and say they do.
