10. done here is my text:
I am actually a Texan. I called your Fresno office last night to voice my support for you in this move. As I said to your very nice receptionist "Fat chance any of MY senators would do this!"

Thank you for your courage, your conviction, your tears, and your distinguished service to this nation.

Liberate the Vote!!

Sincerely

12. I did it
and then I saw this:

"Unfortunately, I can only respond to California residents. If you are not a resident of California, please contact one of the Senators from your home state."

:-(

My Senators are both repukes.

I sent her an email thanking her anyway.

15. Done!
She was re-elected to her senate seat and will serve 6 more years! She is going to outlast the Bush administration and will have more opportunities to challenge them.

16. I have always admired her, and now I do more than ever.
She stood up for principle and prodded her colleagues in the Senate to do the same.

Do you have an office address for her? I would like to send her a flower or ...a book....

17. You're lucky. I'm from Texas and my senators are HORRIBLE!
What's it like to be from a Blue state. I'm getting real tired being stuck in Redville over here. :(

18. My Letter to Boxer
Here's my thank you letter to Sen. Barbara Boxer, for signing on to the objection.

Senator Boxer:
I am not a constitutent of yours, but I write to you today with a grateful heart for your outstanding support of the objection to the certification of Ohio's electoral votes.
As Democrats, we must decide if we are a Party that will just give lip service to voting rights, or if we will be the Party that will put political expediency and cowardice aside, and truly fight for the rights of voters.
By your courageous actions today, you showed what side you are on, and I thank you.
As a tax paying, disenfranchised resident of the District of Columbia, with no adequate representation in the Congress, voting rights is near and dear to my heart. And my heart was saddened by the stories of my fellow African-Americans waiting in line for well over 4, 6 and 10 hours to vote, with some giving up in disgust. That is nothing short of voter suppression, and it is unacceptable.
I thank you for standing up for free and fair elections, and for voting rights. I thank you for not just paying lip service to these issues, but for putting those values into action when the rubber met the road.
God Bless You!
