Sick of the status quo?
Be courageous and take steps toward a return to basic populist principles. Encourage others to do the same.

1. Refuse to watch any cable/network programs that offer the usual RW cheerleaders, the standard White House talking points, Bush`s phony press briefings. Email these stations, state your intent to boycott, then do it. You`ll be amazed at how relieved you`ll feel. I used to be a news junkie but have been cable news free for nearly four months. It feels great. Now my news comes from Free Speech TV, Link TV, newspapers, Internet.

2. Do not respond to any cable "news" polls. They`re meaningless and don`t deserve your time or energy. Email the stations and tell them you`re just plain not going to play anymore.

3. Stay away from RW websites. Who cares what they`re saying? Use your energy for something constructive.

4. Get behind one or two grassroots groups that are committed to old-fashioned populist principles. Keep searching until you find the ones that support your ideals. I like groups like MoveOn, Amnesty International, Democracy for America.

5. If George Bush appears on your television, turn it off immediately. If you can`t do that, leave the room. You don`t have to listen to him anymore. If his lips are moving, he`s lying. Why waste your time with a liar? Try it a few times. You`ll love the feeling it gives you.

6. Don`t throw your vote away ever again. Forget this lesser of two evils stuff. Figure out what you stand for...then stand up for it. Admit that the DLC and the DNC will support only certain types of candidates. To them, anything to the left of Joe Lieberman is a Liberal Freak. Anyone with a little backbone is a threat to the status quo.

2. I'm Not So Sure About DFA!
Depends on where you live and how each "chapter" runs it's agenda. Florida ain't so HOT!

Well, it's HOT, but that's only the weather!

3. I already do..
.... all of those things except for the letters.

I don't know why anyone would subject themselves to cable news.

A just hearing Bush**'s voice makes me queasy. I turn it off, period.
