Congressional ethics rules are too stringent!?
Let me get this straight. The whole world hates our guts. South Asia has been hit with an almost unimagineable tragedy, Osama bin Laden is somewhere in Pakistan or Afghanistan laughing his ass off. Our seaports lie open and defenseless. Health care and health insurance will be soon be completely unaffordable for the middle class on down. And the Repukes in Congress decided that their first order of business should be to weaken ethical standards on the Hill??? I'm a fairly easygoing guy: Used to teach Sunday School, Little League coach, husband, father, elementary school teacher. AND I FEEL LIKE FUCKING KILLING SOMEBODY!! Is there nothing that these bastards can't get away with?

1. Ethics rules are always too stringent...
...as far as criminals are concerned. I'm sure they wished they'd never heard the word ethics.

3. Oh, but there's LOTS for them to worry about.
Their dirty hands are in so many dirty things.

4. If we could just find a way to make something stick.
I agree, these guys are dirty in more ways then we can probably imagine. But look at the shit we DO know about. AWOL, WMDs, voter suppression, torture memos, Enron, Halliburton, etc. Nothing seems to matter. I alternate between depression and, as I said, wanting to kill somebody.

5. It's the "liberal" media's fault...
...that nothing will stick. And, let me tell you, I alternate between the same two emotions. Sometimes I just want to shut it all out and not follow the news for awhile but that would play into their hands. I don't want to be one of those ill-informed dimwits who think we found WMDs in Iraq.
