The word "Bushit " earns a protester a ticket in Wausau WI

The sign reads "This War Is Bushit". Some old man complained about a made up word being offensive. Mind you this is the same location where the pro-life nut jobs set up their huge bloody pictures. A police officer asked us to take it down but we know that if we took one down that next week they'd complain about another one. Besides it's bullshit

We've been protesting at this site since before the war started and all of a sudden this sign is offensive.

register a complaint with the appropriate authorities, contact the ACLU, etc.

This is indeed frivolous, and you shouldn't be sanctioned for using the word Bushit.

4. What you should do is.....

When the poleece tell you to take down the sign, do so, give it to someone else and let them put it up later. rinse and repeat.

A homebuilder in houston had a "NO PROTESTING BUILDERS" clause in their contracts, so the owners couldnt protest at the builders model homes.

So they got their friends and relatives to do it for them. The builders couldnt touch them since they didnt sign the contract.

I'm there frequently, and I might have met you. Is it the 400 block? In front of the courthouse? I've seen pretests there before. I gave the guy anti-bu$h stickers, and my mom & I protested there too.

we first started our protest on the 400 block before the war started and I can't remember when we moved to the courthouse but we were there last winter.
We will have to go back to the 400 block after the snow melts until they get the sod established on the triangle.

16. Mike did get attacked during the summer of 2003

and the first cop that came said if we insisted on doing this he wouldn't protect us in the future. He said it in front of a reporter, thankfully we have a police chief that has a brain in his head and let the officer know he would be protecting us in the future.

Mike is the one they ticketed for the sign and he was also attacked in Stevens Point. He's the biggest one of our group so I think they feel that's who they should attack. To attack one of the women, we're both under 5'3", would not be manly.

They got a few things wrong. It was one reported complaint not multiple.

Mike said "it's not even a word" nothing was said about it being in the dictionary.

The reason the cops threatened to give Mike a Disorderly conduct ticket when he was attacked was because they didn't like our protesting - because Mike was passive when he was attacked exactly to avoid this becoming an issue.


edit: The same sign was on the front page of the paper on July 31, 2004, it cut off the bushit part but it does show how long the sign has been out there.
