Orrin Hatch Has No Soul
He is Tweety's show (Hardball) shucking and jiving like a pro. Watching the wing nuts spinning the issue of torture is bizarre and very frightening. One can almost here Orrin Hatch saying the same things about justifiable torture at some time in the future when it isn't just "combatants" being tortured, but Americans at home. It would be great fun to combine a shot of Orrin justifying torture and blaming the grunts with a montage of background images of examples of the same philosophy as played out by villains, dictators and madmen throughout history. I read a column this week that made the point that the US policy on torture as viewed by BushCo. is nothing more than an old "To Do" of Saddam Hussein's.

1. saw it, too
just caught like, two minutes of it because it was on in the background while I was cleaning up after dinner.
Since Nov. 2nd, I've been ignoring the MSM because it makes my blood boil. And every time I walk into a room and some asshole like Tweety is on, I see why I started my boycott.
In the mere seconds I saw of Hatch, he made up about 15 things that would be EASILY refuted if Tweety had the balls to do it.
Instead, he sat there like a good little whore and let Hatch suggest that the Abu Gharib torture situation was attended to immediately, that Clarence Thomas is brilliant, and that liberals are the racists because they see through Thomas.
Off --- back to DU, and then to a good book.

3. Well, you know ...

Republicans do have to surrender it at the door when they join the party.

5. And not much of a mind, either.
Hatch seems to be the unflattering caricature of a U.S. Senator as opposed to an actual senator.
