Does Bush have a Teflon coat of lies?
My own little rant...

Sometimes the anger gets so bad I literally am engulfed by it. I tremble with titanic rage when I think about what that man is doing to our country. He seems to be mocking the founders of this country, past great presidents like Roosevelt, today our senior citizens, liberals, and those who voted for him by laughing in their faces... His administration is literally covered in scandals, surrounded by their mis-management of this country, surrounded by their lies that have become so thick that they seem to have formed a Teflon coat... Nothing sticks to these bastards! Everyday it is just the same damn thing lately -- bad news that would have sunk Clinton is just overlooked or white-washed for Bush. Everyday his lies and those of his underlings are exposed, and the majority of the American people just don't seem to care. I find myself wrecking my brain day and night trying to come up with a way to get the word out about the insidious nature of the Bush administration. I wreck my brain trying to figure out how we can get a Democratic majority in the House and/or Senate... It is very frustrating, and the scary thing is that I truly, truly HATE George W. Bush. I've always been someone who has said that "hate is a powerful term" and that it is wrong to do so... However, that man has evoked so much rage in me at his complete bumbling of the governing of our country, and every day he just keeps doing it and getting a pass from Americans and the god-dammed press... My rage is going from being mad at Bush and not disliking ALL Republicans to seeing their recent votes and the rank madness of the right-wing personalities to truly loathing them for everything they stand for! Sometimes I feel like I am going to literally implode from all the chaos I feel inside... I've only felt this way one other time in my life, and that was when someone I deeply loved and cared about betrayed me. It seems like America is betraying itself under the guidance of G.W. Bush and his army of murderous debauched sycophants.

It's like we live in Bizarro world... Up is down, North is South, and left just ain't fucking right... When will America wake up and make this bastard answer for his crimes?

1. I am with you.
He just makes me so angry. I refuse to acknowledge him as our head of state. To me, our true government is and has been in exile since January 21, 2001. The President is Al Gore. Until we have an election that is free and legal, we are still under a coup. I hold him personally responsible for the deaths on 9/11 and the deaths of thousands of American troops and innocent Iraqi's.

Your post sounds exactly what I feel, but I cannot put it into words. I hate that they are making me hate so much. My only consolation is that the World is on OUR side and history will be as well.

In the meantime, god help us all.

2. Indeed, God help us all...
I just hope that more people will wake up in this country and start help themselves. I've been active and will continue to be. In fact, I'm participating in a peace march against the Iraq War in Oklahoma City on Sunday. I always remember... God helps those who help themselves. So far America seems to be simply rolling over for the most part...

3. Titanic, My Over Reaction
As 999 said.

"When will America wake up and make this bastard answer for his crimes?"

We just had a referendum on this. Bush won.

"Sometimes I feel like I am going to literally implode from all the chaos I feel inside... I've only felt this way one other time in my life, and that was when someone I deeply loved and cared about betrayed me."

Shame about that, but politics is a different matter.

"He seems to be mocking the founders of this country, past great presidents like Roosevelt, today our senior citizens, liberals, and those who voted for him by laughing in their faces..."

I don't recall Bush mocking the founding fathers, Roosevelt, or seniors. Whatever else he is, he is not stupid. As to mocking liberals, well sure, just as liberals mock conservatives, that's politics. As to laughing in the faces of those who support him, highly unlikely. Not a good way to get or retain thier votes.

4. Hopefully in 2006
when we can vote in more house dems and start an impeachment process.

my god, i agree with so much of what you're saying--all of it, actually. I was thinking of starting a thread about this myself. i know--sometimes i have to tell myself to settle down (don't want to have a heart attack over bush--it would be his ultimate compliment), i shake my head in wonder at the dose of poison that keeps smirking at the rest of the world. are we all in stepford? what the hell is everyone thinking?

i've been in a bit of a fog for the last few months. hell, it was foggy before then but now visibility is zero. and sometimes i feel as if my brain is going to explode.

so at least you know you're not alone. hell, i knew i wasn't alone either. but it's a minor consolation. sometimes i think i want to go bury my head in the sand (turn off the t.v. & internet, stop reading newspapers, books) and pretend none of this crazy shit is happening. i'll get a new hobby, wear flowers in my hair, invent soup recipes, make candles, learn to paint, drink heavily, mentally escape.

but there's a part of me that can't do that--at least not yet. i'm a fighter too and i know, at this point, the moral thing for me to do is stay involved and fight the good fight. (it's just getting harder all the time)

i loved your post. you did some of my best venting for me. thank you.

5. not teflon - rubber
notice how scandal or potential scandals end up being blamed on someone else?

quick examples off the top of my head:
September 11 - blamed on FBI
IRAQ lack of WMDs - blamed on CIA
Torture - blamed on low ranking troops

meanwhile -- when all other attempts of bouncing the blame fails -- they blame Clinton

8. LOL...
Funny you say that, because I was actually debating with myself when I wrote the post as to rather it was Teflon or rubber!
