1. Here's what he said:
Iraq did not pose an imminent threat. Says that pres tried to force the connection again. We should have stayed on task with Afghanistan.

Stronger international presence necessary, and said allies deserve to be consulted and have a seat at the table, not brought in afterwards. Even allies we have are concerned about the way it's going. They have to have a voice in the decisionmaking. this administration wants to dictate.

Iraq was an elective war. We have to support the men and women but war was a mistake.

On this election: Kerry as a contender vs. Clark. How different are they? He respects Kerry, and their paths in public service were different.

He says that he is doing well in New Hampshire, and ready to go nationwide, and then in a dig at dean he started naming states, and Couric said, laughing, "Please don't name every state in the union." They laughed, and that was the end of the segment.

12. Thanks for posting that!
Crap, I had had the Today show on, watching for Clark to come on, and then it must have been while I was saying 'bye' to my husband (sending him off to earn a living so I can spend my time in the Clark Campaign Office) that Clark was on. Darn it.

He didn't say "Yeeeeyaaaaaa" at the end, did he? ;)

8. Just a little dig at Dean's expense?
So much above the frey, eh?

Considering Lehane's reputation, isn't Clark at a distinct advantage? Seems awful incestuous to me if not suspicious if there isn't some dirt being thrown between these two. Wonder if they plan to circle the wagons on Dean first rather than risk Dean gaining by their battle.

9. As for being above the fray
Clark gets his digs in now and then... always has... that's a part of his personality that I find endearing, being the sarcastic asshole that I am.

But a "dig" and a flat out, slanderous accusation are two different things. How deeply that dig goes, probably depends on how thin one's skin is.
