2 Largest Voter Issues (WSJ 1/21) -- Economy 29% , Heathcare/Medicare 28% |
|
Education 14%, War in Iraq 14% (as polled from Iowa voters) -----------------------------------------------------------------
Where does your candidate stand with "experience" and a record on these issues....and the ability to deliver.
IF...the media successfully plays down the "Iraq war"...was does your candidate run on?
Dean has documented experience in delivering:
* A balanced budget as multi-term gov * Health care record that we wish America could "have" * Education -- he spoke and told you why NCLB is NOT working (last year)
What is your candidate going to tell voters "how they are better" than bush in these areas?

1. link? Good points are made here, but progressive taxation is core issue |
|
....progressive taxation is the base foundation of the liberal philosophy. We need to make that the core issue of the Democratic party. Edwards is at least talking about it. But he needs to go further.....

2. front page WSJ (I have the paper only)....these were based on |
|
entrance polls from Iowa....
They say this is what explains the surprising Iowa results....voters did not want the Iraq war thrown at them.
Can anybody help with a link...thanks

7. excellent data....this goes to the point that the perceived strengths |
|
on those issues belonged to Kerry...while Iraq belonged to Dean.
But ..how they voted ...were the "economy/health issues"
Very Good summary. Thank you

3. Dems -- the people are telling us something --- it's issues |
|
How is your candidate going to address this vs bush....
Does experience and credibility play a role....if so ...look at the Dr. track record in the above.

4. Too Bad Kerry Was Too Busy Campaigning To Vote On Medicare Bill |
|
Edited on Wed Jan-21-04 09:51 AM by cryingshame
and PLEASE don't try saying his other previous votes leading up to it "make up for it".
Kerry has missed 60% of his votes, was AWOL in the Senate against Bush and as recently as the last debate preferred attacking Dean rather than commenting about Paul O'Neill's recent Bush revelation.
That Medicare Vote is the Historical Record and among other things SYMBOLICALLY important.
Even if Kerry trys to use Medicare as an Issue in the GE... he has LOST THAT ARROW IN HIS QUIVER!
Kerry has effectively castrated himself on this Issue because he was too myopic at the time of that vote to see the BIG PICTURE.
This one thing alone questions his capacity to LEAD.

5. Medicare is "huge issue"....who else has more experience in this |
|
area than Dr. Dean?
We need what is right from a leader in many of these areas.
