O'Rilley: Pope holding up the war on terror
Flipping through channels, the "Catholic Boy" O'Rilley overwhelemed his Catholic priest guest that the "Pope is holding up the war on terror" by disagreeing with the current policy.

O'Rilley also said "the Pope is not making things easier" by just praying for peace.

What a arrogant, hypocritical a$$hole.

3. From his tone and rant
O'Rilley wanted a complete backing and endorcement of Bush's policies to not hold up the "war on terror".

5. And yet..
I don't see O'Reilly picking up a gun and going overseas to help "kill some terra'ists".

Freaking idiot. I think it's indecent that I have to listen to him on the airwaves - can't we cancel him?

12. Yeah, but nowhere near as loudly as he speaks out...
..against a women's right to choose, stem cell research, or homosexuality. If he were truly a man of peace he would put as much weight and heft and action behind his admonitions against the war in Iraq as he did his admonitions against birth control, stem cell research and gay marriage.

Think how many people he could influence if he came out and reiterated time and again over the past 2 years that he believes catholic teaching is against this war.

14. Pope fears Bush is antichrist
Pope fears Bush is antichrist, journalist contends - Church - journalist Wayne Madsden - Brief Article
Catholic New Times, May 18, 2003
new

WASHINGTON DC -- According to freelance journalist Wayne Madsden, "George W Bush's blood lust, his repeated commitment to Christian beliefs and his constant references to 'evil doers,' in the eyes of many devout Catholic leaders, bear all the hallmarks of the one warned about in the Book of Revelations--the anti-Christ."

Madsen, a Washington-based writer and columnist, who often writes for Counterpunch, says that people close to the pope claim that amid these concerns, the pontiff wishes he was younger and in better health to confront the possibility that Bush may represent the person prophesized in Revelations. John Paul II has always believed the world was on the precipice of the final confrontation between Good and Evil as foretold in the New Testament.

Before he became pope, Karol Cardinal Wojtyla said, "We are now standing in the face of the greatest historical confrontation humanity has gone through. I do not think that wide circles of the American society or wide circles of the Christian community realize this fully. We are now facing the final confrontation between the church and the anti-Church, of the Gospel versus the anti-Gospel."
<snip>

Madsen contends that "Bush is a dangerous right-wing ideologue who couples his political fanaticism with a neo-Christian blood cult."

24. Maybe some
but most of the radical right Catholic media are recent Protostant fundie-nut converts. What you get in "Catholic media" is not really Catholic media, but quasi-born again wingnut fundie material (overemphesis on abortion and gay marriage).

Also, many are Republicans first and Catholics second with the ones I have interacted with on other boards.

25. Humourous.
I can't help but laugh at how silly this neocon game has become. It's the new Republican M.O....if you don't walk in lockstep with our administration their lapdog pundits accuse you of "hurting" us all. Even if you're the Pope.

The whole Fox "news" outfit is a shameless joke...at least to those of us who can see right through it. And that's why I don't watch it. Ever.
