Why on earth are we having Reid and Pelosi deliver a joint response? |
|
Edited on Wed Feb-02-05 10:10 PM by dolstein
If the Democrats were smart, they'd pick the most appealing and articulate member (Obama) or perhaps someone from outside of Congress (Wes Clark? John Edwards?) to deliver their response to the State of the Union. Neither Reid nor Pelosi were chosen as leaders of their respective caucus because of their oratorical skills, and having both of them on camera just looks silly.

6. Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner here! |

If dolstein thinks that Reid and Pelosi are pathetic in their response to our Holy American Emperor, how will the progressive base see them as? At least they didn't kiss Bush like Lieberman did.
Pelosi's nose job, face lift(s), and BOTOX make her look like Joan Rivers.

and this is the way it has been since the first SOTU. And I liked Reid's words. He hit the right note for regular Joes and Janes and the senior set who are not political junkies.
