There`s something troubling about George W. Bush. |
|
Bush might be awash in "Red State" glory right now but his supporters better take another look. With a few million bucks, a bus load of Morals Police, a limo filled with consultants, a few camera tricks and malleable media, anyone could make a mannequin look like a hero action figure.
No matter how he`s propped up, George Bush comes up a little short in the humanity department....Bible and all. Bush`s Godtalk extends to only those who are like-minded. The rest can be used for cannon fodder and servants or can be ignored unless they`re needed as stage props.
Life has been easy for Bush, so easy that he`s oblivious to everyday suffering. His name was the birthright which set the giant wheels of entitlement in motion, so he didn`t have to study hard at Yale or go to Vietnam or face the consequences of driving drunk or worry about where his next meal was coming from. Daddy and Barb had him covered.
Now he gets to pick and choose who gets saved, who gets killed, who gets left to rot. Africa? Not on the list. Workers suffering the effects of asbestos? Stop them from suing. Homeless people? Bush bought a ranch, they can too. Outsourced jobs? Find some retraining. The empty rhetoric doesn`t sit well with me. George Bush`s "compassion" is about as shallow as the paper Karl Rove uses for the day`s talking points.

4. To mocking Karla Faye Tucker as he signed her death warrant |
|
when even the fundamentalist churches begged for mercy.
Now we need the DLC and their advice to follow the president and not criticize the war--OUT, and every time that arrogant spoiled punk starts up about compassion, run footage of him reflecting his true compassionate nature like when he addresses his base of "have-mores" rewarded with tax cuts while he attempts to dismantle Social security. Go for the jugular.

6. The truth in your "arrogant spoiled punk" remark |
|
left me nodding my head. What`s most troubling to me is how easily the Bush Believers follow his credo with not even a fleeting glance at the rubble caused by his policies. They`ve seemingly grabbed hold of some image-maker`s halo and have sold half the country on its provenance. If it`s this easy for millions to laud a complete fraud, I wonder what else is in store for us.
The few Who Would Jesus Bomb? bumperstickers I`ve seen should be the subject of a national dialogue. Perhaps that could happen if we weren`t so busy pretending that we actually have the right to invade Iraq. Amazing what garbage some can abide once they cover it over with zealotry.

7. Bush blew up frogs with firecrackers as a kid. |
|
Mental health professionals know animal abuse is a very accurate indicator of emotional disturbance in children and, when not treated, a pretty serious predictor of potential abuse to animals and humans later on. Mommy and daddy always indulged little Dubya. Blowing up frogs was probably no big deal to them, just like regulations set forth by the Geneva Convention are to Dubya. Dubya continued his deviant behavior as best he could by surrounding himself with the same type of sickos devoid of any semblance of compassion like himself and by promoting and authorizing the execution of more people than any other governor in the history of the country. I would just like to see Dubya in Abu Ghraib for just one day. He is a driveling coward who'd be catatonic in minutes.

22. I certainly agree. Animal abuse is indicative of profound lack of empathy |

Although, to be fair, my father used to disintegrate ants with his magnifying glass when he was little, and he turned out to be the most sensitive bleeding heart liberal I know - wouldn't shoot a deer if you paid him.
But most psychologists would probably regard ants differently than frogs or other animals.

It's still surprising how Texas still goes really red after all Bush did to them and with the mocking thing. That's really disgusting. I hope when Dean is DNC chair whenever BushCo bring something out hopefully he'll reply and strong.

You hit everything right on target. Bush is a spoiled obnoxious brat and always will be. He told one of his professors in college, "If people are poor , it's because they're lazy". He just doesn't give a hoot about people who can't afford "to put food on their children" as he put it. If he didn't have the family name and money, he'd be a big fat zero. He has never had a job where he had to go to work every day like most people. Everything financial he ever touched was a disaster until daddy's rich friends bailed him out. Now he is doing it to the whole country. His religion is as phony as a $3 bill. I believe Rove masterminded the plot to fool the stupid evangelicals who seem to have have a "mystical" experience every time Bush says the word 'god'. I think the evangelicals are too dumb to ever figure out that they have been manipulated to act against their own self-interest. I saw a young man interviewed the other day. He was asked who he'd voted for and said Bush. When the same man was asked what he thought the most important issue facing the country was, he said health care. The interviewer told the young man that Bush was against supporting/providing health care options. The voter said he DIDN'T KNOW that. He probably believes that WMD's were found in Iraq too. The headline was right...How can so many people be so stupid!?!

Faux News. They're so dangerous to our country more than people realize. Especially Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh. :grr: Now it'd be different if they were just plain right-wing talk show host's but what's dangerous is they spread pure lies and propaganda. I was listening to Al Franken a week or two ago and he was talking to a guy who has a website based on his dislike for, I believe it was, Bill O'Reilly and he was talking to a caller about the Boxer/Rice hearing stuff. We all know Boxer said how Rice's loyalty for the President is above her loyalty for the truth and O'Reilly said Boxer said her loyalty for the President is above her loyalty for the troops. What an a$$.

8. I suggest we pack up homeless vets, |

the kind I see lingering around the vet's hospital here, waiting to get sick enough to be admitted, and bus them to the White House lawn.
I'd LOVE to see him worm his way out of speaking to veterans. Even his poodle press couldn't get him out of that one.
