Mrs Blair, a PR man and bad PR

By Joanna Bale
The agent responsible for her tour of Australia has been linked to disputes over charity money
Times

THE PR guru who is organising Cherie Blair’s tour of Australia was accused of “abhorrent behaviour” during a recent charity scandal.
Max Markson has been named in two Australian parliaments in recent years in relation to disputes over money allegedly owed to charities.

He was also investigated by the Australian Electoral Commission over allegations of £77,000 of undeclared payments to the Australian Labor Party.

Mr Markson, whose PR company is called Markson Sparks!, said that his failure to declare the donation was an “oversight”.

Mr Markson, known by the media in Australia as “Mr 20 Per Cent”, is a wheeler-dealer whose autobiography is entitled Show Me The Money.
