Why don't we leave social security alone, and grant a tax credit for money deposited by persons for their retirement. We could call it, I don't know, an Individual Retirement Account?
How about making interest on bank accounts tax free, with half being siphoned off for an individual's retirement?
Or we could spend something less and a billion dollars every day on defense (not counting the cost of elective wars in Iraq and Afghanistan), and take care of our own citizens?
