I've been listening to Randi Rhodes this morning talk about the whole Jeff Gannon debacle (mostly from the floor, I've been laughing so hard) and she keeps thanking "the bloggers" forstaying on top of this story and really bringing it to light. I realized that I don't really know who she's talking about. Are there specific blogs that people read? Thanks.

But I come from a city that just installed the person who came in second in the vote total as mayor, and Duncan Hunter is my Congressman, so color me cynical about the local scene :)

you might try riverbendblog.blogspot.com, which is the blog of a young woman who lives in Baghdad - I like to hear about what's going on "on the ground" from people who actually live there and don't have a paycheck to protect, so are missing one important impediment to speaking frankly.
