13. How much "copy" did Drudge devote to attacking Dan Rather?

A comparison between the two would be revealing.

Rather was once a respected journalist who reported on accurate, if possibly forged, documents implicating the president for what was already known. For this, he was fired from a broadcasting position he held for many years.

Gannon/Guckert/whatever is a forged journalist planted in the white house press corps to ask leading questions and act as a propaganda mouthpiece for bush and the republican party. Once this was exposed, he quit his fake job, while blaming the liberal bloggers and the media for endangering his family.

Do you suppose Dan Rather might have received any threats to his life or that of his family? I wonder.

He's also a darling of Brian Lamb on C-span. Lamb actually uses the drudge report as a credible source of stories and has him on at least once a year as a guest.
