1. I agree
The Iraqi election looks to be a sham,
Bush's budget is a disaster,
SS "crisis" propoganda is being peddled to the masses,
Harry Reid is calling Bush out on his hypocrisy...

there's a lot of shit to cover besides this.

3. Do you have a source for the Iraqi election sham
I hadn't heard it had come out that far yet.

NYT or somewhere else?

5. Just consider
we have no idea how many voted.. maybe 50%???
we also have no idea WHY people voted. There were reports of people thinking their vote was tied to food vouchers, and also, a lot of people just thought their vote meant the US was leaving soon.
The bottom line and irrefutable feature of it all is that Islamic fundie Sistani was the recipient of overwhelming support.
So while the Bush enablers got to wave their purple fingers last week, there hasn't been much else said about the election.
In fact, that whole story has gotten very quiet.

8. Well, for starters
I read today that 300 ballot boxes have to be "recounted".

It's starting to sound kind of like Ohio, isn't it? I can't say there's proof it was a total sham, but really, it was anything but transparent. I mean, it was so complicated--they were voting for delegates to a "constitutional convention" to be held in the fall, or something like that?? It's been a couple of weeks, and still no results have come out?

The whole thing is just looking really phony. But we shall see.

15. I could be wrong, but
I thought I read somewhere that control of the internet was one of the goals of PNAC.

Anybody else hear or read this?

17. it was part of that high school survey last week
where they asked students if they thought flag burning was illigel. another survey question asked if they thought the government could censor the internet if it wanted to.

"The survey found that nearly three-fourths of high school students either do not know how they feel about the First Amendment or admit they take it for granted; three-fourths wrongly believe flag burning is illegal; and half believe the government can censor the Internet."

9. I don't think you should worry - this subject is not a safe diversion for
them. Fake name. Security breach. Favoritism to a non-entity. Plame leaker. Subpoena for Mr. Fake. Leak-Lies-Law breaking WMD issue which raises the Italian-Israel-PNAC fake letter. Male prostitution. And it exposes GOPUSA and all the filth generated by them from their Texas home.

No way do they want this out.

This is not a planned distraction, imo.

However, they could concoct one to slow this one down.

11. Well they are always trying to distract us, but it's encouraging that
they need to throw someone quite useful to them to the wolves. Things are getting very hot for them.

12. I don't think this is what they wanted as a distraction
This is serious business and it ties a lot of things together. I don't think they planned this to break.

13. Right now the neocons wanted to be basking in the 'Rice Peace Tour.'
And instead their shill blew up in their faces in the worst possible way.

Even these bastards can't contol everything.

Question is: Will Dems twist the blade and capitalize on the opportunity or are they still talking about who to run in 2008 and lose to BBV again?

14. I still wonder why they let such a known grifter float around them
So much speculation going on. It is weird. I'll add my own questions:

I still wonder why they let such a known grifter float around them for so long. Those psychopaths are like flies to fly-paper (they attract each other - and suss each other out really quick). I have every confidence that someone like (no relation to the character types described in the previous sentence) Rove knew all about this creep.

So my question is - why was he aloud to be hanging around; around reporters; all day long; just waiting to be caught; For months on end; In a very public way; ?????

Is he the professional fall guy for the Plaime Affair? There is something very odd about this week. And also all the talk about "deep throat" by Woodward & Bernstein. Like they were calling out to the inheritors of that legacy in the current White House: "Deep throat, deep throat, where is our deep throat? Who wants to be very admired and famous for the rest of your life - but not have to deal with the publicity?." I totally guess at this. But perhaps the papers are so slow to report on this because they were on to the story already? Because the big papers will go months investigating something big and not reporting it.

So much to speculate on. So little info that we really know. Just stick with the facts jack!

19. How about this 9/11 report in the Times
Says that the FAA had warnings about suicide hijackers well before 9/11. The report was, of course, not released until after the election.

21. Love that, Osama Been Forgotten was mentioned at least 52 times
in that report, and there hasn't been a mention of him for the last 5 months. I should know better, but why isn't this 911 report getting more play? D*mn I hate the MSM
