1. Is the Gannon scandal like the Armstrong case?
They're both about Repub propaganda, but Gannon's case didn't involve taxpayer money, did it? I thought White House press people were just private press corps that were given clearance for highly confidential White House briefings?

Not only that, Gannon the CONSERVATIVE is found to be RUNNING GAY WEB SITES. Where's the background checks? Where's the credibility? WHERE IS THE F***ING OUTRAGE?????????????????????

on edit - I should have made it clearer in my orignal post I was talking about TWO issues - so I edited it and added the word AND :)

I was just thinking to myself that it would be easier to get this story into the media press IF it involved taxpayer money.

However, this story has definitely made it to Congress. The outrage is out there and one Congresswoman has already stated she wants an investigation to determine how these White House press badges are assigned because she's tired of White House propaganda. Remember, these are suppose to be press briefings.

There is already one major discrepancy. Dana Millbank, on Olberman said last night that he saw Gannon with what looked like a real press pass, and not one of the daily passes that Kurtz claims Gannon had and that anybody can get (according to Kurtz). So, there has to be a record on file that will reveal what kind of clearance he was given.

2. Gannon/Armstrong Williams are just the tip of the iceberg I think
For years the GOP has snowed their very gullible supporters with unfounded accusations of liberal bias. As far as I know they have never been able to tie any so called liberal reporter to any liberal political candidate.

4. Mangate ..... Ken Starr where are you.
Watch how fast and hard CNN & Fox and so on try to kill this story.
If this had been Clinton all hell would have broken.

Just last night CNN's Wolf B. tried to say this was all the fault of liberal
bloggers.

11. Look at the postings last night around 6:00 PM EST ......
..... The gist of Blitzer and the w post's guy did was try to soft sell the story, blame it
on liberal bloggers, and say, "well a lot of reporters have a slant."

Wolf's lips still had lint on them from kissing Roves ass.

:bounce:

I think mangate could start the downfall of *.

16. Both Kurtz and Wolfie
chastized the blogs for going after Gannon's personal life. They said it was okay to disagree with Gannon's position, but that they disagreed with the bloggers digging up a webpage (that, according to Kurtz, was something Gannon did that never materialized) and making an issue of his personal life.

Kurtz looked extremely nervous. He must have realized how weak his position was. He knows, as a journalist, that all the media rules were broken when the conservatives targeted Clinton and that Clinton's private life was the only way the right-wingers prevailed. The precedent was already set. But even before then, any time that a person's private life contradicts his public image, it is also fair game.

7. How 'bout we ask THEM where the outrage is?
Tell them we want to know more about this. Do they want ratings? Or shall we go watch Keith Olbermann, who's actually covering the story?
Of course, I won't watch CNN until they change, but it may be worth a shot.

9. Skittles, my imagination is completely burned out!
1998: everything Bill Clinton did was EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVIL. Every breath he took had to be investigated because THE PEOPLE HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW. Not a day went by without the Whore Media raising Eyebrows of Skepticism about him and Hillary and Chelsea and everybody they might have ever known. They were EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVIL.

2005: There's enough dirt on bu$h to hang seven people and not a peep out of the Alleged Media. Moral of the story? Kill your TV before it kills you.

17. the only problem is that I vaguely remember a number of incidents
where aides were bringing underage male prostitutes to the White House during the Reagan occupation, and absolutely nothing came of it! We'll have to see where this goes.
