And I thought he was addressing his own demand for an apology for reporting fake news by distorting FDRs quotes out of context...

Oh the hypocracy!!! :mad:

(sorry if this has already gone around, it is two days old, although his apology and/or resignation is 2 weeks overdue)

<snip>
Yet to Resign (scroll down the page)

Five weeks after CBS News fired one producer and asked three other executives to resign for their role in the now discredited story on President Bush's National Guard service, the three asked to resign still have yet to do so. What's more, one of them, former executive producer Josh Howard (search), is demanding the network clear his name and retract a statement saying that he helped rush the story to air and, "dealt a tremendous blow to the credibility of CBS News in general, one which it was his duty to avert."
<snip>

And next heading more of the same

<snip>

Apology Demanded

Two prominent African-American Republicans have demanded an apology from the new DNC Chairman Howard Dean for saying at a Democratic Black Caucus meeting last week, "You think the Republicans could get this many people of color in a single room? Only if they had the hotel staff in here."

And in a joint statement, Maryland Lieutenant Governor Michael Steele and former Oklahoma Congressman J.C. Watts say they are outraged over the insensitive and intolerable remarks. Adding, "This kind of backward thinking remind us of a horrible time in history, when blacks were seen as servants." But the chair of the caucus says Dean's remarks were well received, insisting they were, "A statement of fact" and Steele and Watts are blowing things out of proportion.

<snip>

IS this his way of flipping the bird to the fact that there's nothing for him to apologize for? And now intends to help paint Howard Dean as a racist?

Why oh why are we not demanding a scalp for this treachery? Tell these people at Faux news what we think of this kind of twisted reporting. It has been two weeks now, and is this is completely unacceptable!

2. This is ridiculous...

Dean is NOT a bigot or racist. It's true that minorities often fill the jobs serving people with money - mostly rich white families. He didn't mean to be offensive. Gawd.

edit: it is not offensive because we know Dean and what he stands for. Yes, I would have a problem if Trent Lott made that statement, but that's just because of his stances on issues.
