A good reason to support the ACLU
Look at the nutjobs that are opposed to them! This is some scary stuff:

http://www.stoptheaclu.org/

Reading that website would make any clear-thinking person an ACLU fan! By the way, here's the ACLU website:

www.aclu.org

Here are some other good progressive groups that they complain about:

www.pfaw.org People For the American Way
www.tolerance.org Southern Poverty Law Center

4. I went to the stoptheaclu.org website

I looked around for a minute and immediately saw a blatant error. I didn't look that much, just happened to see this one.
One of the links say's "The ACLU sues Texas (and loses).". The only problem is the ACLU wasn't even involved in that case. The suit was filed by this homeless guy named Thomas Van Orden of Austin Texas.

the stoptheaclu websites probably full of untruths and dissinformation, like most right wing, fake Christian hate sites are.

5. Why did the ACLU help a millionaire asshole like Rush Limbaugh?
He seems to have more than enough money, power and influential friends to handle his own problems. Why did the ACLU spend funds and time when it appears that their limited resources could have been used more effectively in other areas? I won’t join until I find a reasonable explanation for this action. I am not making any accusations only looking for an explanation or am I misinformed about the circumstances.
