Did the Dems make a huge mistake letting the independent counsel law die? |
|
Gannongate and the admins media payola scandals scream for an independent prosecutor. Carl levin was against letting it die, he said to "mend it, not end it". I think the pugs realized they would soon control all 3 branches of governement and thus killed it.

1. I think that was the real motivation... |
|
Behind whitewater. TO get enough Dems pissed off about it to want it gone.

...there was a strategic purpose in the right going after Clinton in such overkill. Maybe the purposefully wanted to kill the OIC. They knew Bush would be in the WH through election fraud. Maybe they set it up this way so he would be investigation free.

3. I think the Repukes were more responsible for ending it |

than the Dems. At least that's my recollection.

5. Starr himself testified it should be done away with. Pukes wanted ti gone |
|
That should've sent up big red flags. I think if the OIC still existed Bush wouldn't be in office right now.
