I'm so depressed....Wal-mart gave $5000 to my Dem Congressman |
|
What is a good liberal to do? They support my Congressman (Mike McIntyre D-NC) and he is very supportive of the local VFD's.

Winn-Dixie is filing for bankruptcy due directly to Wally World's greedy attitude. I will never shop there or support them in any way.

3. Ummm, maybe, BUT, I used to shop primarily at Winn Dixie and then |
|
when Albertson's opened up, I shared my grocery dollar between the two of them. Then Winn Dixie closed the store I shopped in and built two much fancier new stores each about four or five more miles away from where I live and the prices went up, up, up.
Albertsons then got most of my grocery money. Then Albertson's bought out another grocery chain somewhere in the US and suddenly their prices went up about fifty cents per item to more than double what it used to cost. I don't shop there much anymore either. And when I do, I try to buy only the specials which bring the prices down to what they should be (except in the cases where the price actually goes up when it is on sale... Case in point: store brand fruit favored water, regular price $0.79, sale price, 10 for $10.00).
And it gets harder and harder to find the foods I want to buy in all of the stores. The stores are all bigger, but the choice is more and more limited.

4. Just to be clear - Wal-mart EXECs did |

I don't think Corporations can give directly to Politicians.
I've always wondered how it goes...
"... we are promoting you to VP of XYZ, your salary will be $150,000, we hope you'll give generously to some politicians that could be helpful to Wal-mart - it's totally voluntary - wink wink"
