One way to help change public perception of * is to re-frame him. It should be pointed out - and consistently - that he is an utterly contemptible coward.
He chickened out of military service during the Vietnam war.
And now he weasels his way out of letting anyone but "GOP friendlies" attend his speeches, appearances, rallies, etc.
It is despicable for an American elected public official to shun contact with anyone except pre-screened audiences. What is he hiding? Why won't he come out and face average Americans who may not agree with him?
Is this a way for an American president to behave? To avoid Americans? To ban protestors? To fear dissent?
Behind all his bluster, he is a coward and a weakling.

as I was taking my smoke break. I can't believe how deluded his supporters are. How in the world can they think he is strong, decisive and brave when he is obviously such a wimpy coward who cannot even confront a dissenting opinion and defend his position? What irony that he supposedly going to confront Putin about a "free?" press!

pretty consistently pointed out in the months before the election. But we are living in the past. Bush will never again be a candidate for election, at least not for President. We just have to get through the next 4 years.
Better to attack his policies, because, personal attacks on Bush just won't carry over to his Republican nominee successor. So what's the point?

He doesn't have the guts to:
- Raise the revenue to commit sufficient resources to a war - Ask the American people to pay for the war - Level with the American people about sacrifices necessary to prosecute a war - Face flag-draped caskets - Appear before anything but hand-picked crowds - Face protestors - Brook any dissent within his administration - Appear in any unscripted forum - Admit to any mistake

meeting due to the German refusals to acquiesce to the pre-scripted Q&A format that the Bush handlers insisted upon. Ahhhh, remember when the US used to be the most respected country in the world; a model of Democracy and freedom to dissent...Ya know... 'bout 5 years ago???
