I bet if JimmyJeff were speaking, they wouldn't have gotten lost.

4. Live in California and about midway through MTP, Dowd was talking
and suddenly Law and Order came on and completely wiped her out. I am still blown away! I realize that mistakes happen, but in light of what has been going on lately- it was knd of frightening!

9. So NBC got rid of the Gannon/Guckert comments...
for the re-broadcasts of the show?

I was watching on the west coast and saw the Law and Order crap come up all of a sudden.

WTF?!

7. I caught that, and here's my story of a recent similar occurrence.
The vehicle I drive to work only has an AM radio. When I was driving home about midnight this past Friday, I was listening to some talk radio guy named Mike Gallagher. Anyway, he had a liberal caller on the line who was making very good, intelligently articulated points against the war and Bush. Guess what? The air went dead! After a few minutes passed, guess what? The station was back on air, just in time for the regularly scheduled newscast. When the shows host returned, there was no mention of the incident, and it was off to a new topic. Coincidence?

Is this going to become a trend? Let's watch and see.

Where have you been comrad? And what will it take to fix it. We may be well beyond letters to the editor.

Remember, they'll be lots of guns but ammo may be in short supply. Plan ahead.

49. same thing happened in my neck of the woods
when 60 minutes was running the Bush-AWOL story ("rathergate")

the intro came on, they cut to commercial and then it went off the air, I also heard that in some places they cut 60 minutes completely and re-ran some Billy Graham special that was a couple of years old...

the "excuse" was a local transmitter, feed or some crap went out --

oh yeah, they said they would re-broadcast it - and they did... at 3:00am in the freaking morning in the middle of the week... meanwhile -- if you didn't read every single article in the papers you wouldn't have seen the notice about the rebroadcast...

I saw it live (I think) on the East Coast. I don't recall that she said anything unusual that would have required such an intervention deliberatly.

Also if they did want to edit something out, they could have found more subtle way to do it with a pair of scissors.

I'm not saying there's never any reason to question such things. But this isn't one of 'em, IMO.

Paranoia is like fine wine. It needs to be rationed carefully. B-)

39. No problem. It was about mid-way through the broadcast...
Dowd was talking about Putin referring to electoral college- implying that Shrub was "selected" and then Russert asked her a question and when she began talking the beginning of LAW AND ORDER came on without missing a beat. It continued for about a minute or so- then the screen went completely BLACK for about 10-20 seconds and then MIRACULOUSLY , MTP was back on just in time for the next journalist to speak! I believe it was Friedman. (sp)? No mention of WTF happened at all! It was eerie!

It seems if we want something done, we have to do it ourselves, regarding fairness in journalism.

If anyone out across our great nation has tape or tivo of the 'interruption' from this morning, perhaps that could be offered online, as well.
