What is Rove's long term plan?
I watched Bush's Brain this AM and have been thinking about the comment one of the people interviewed made. He said that Rove is always planning years ahead. Well, now that * has had his 2 terms, what is Karl planning for our future?

1. I watched Bush's brain yesterday.
That guy is intelligent and a good strategist, which is why repukes worship the ground he walks on. But, imo, he is shrewd backstabbing sob that have no conscience whatsoever. It makes sense that Rove and the bushies hooked up with each other. You remember what some writer/reporter overheard outside of Rove's office a while back....something like "We will fucking destroy you!" That is the real Karl Rove. He gets off on destroying people.

2. social security.
I think that rove has started this drive to privatizing SS to recruit the twenty-somethings. They & the thirty-somethings are the two age groups that seem most receptive to it. So, he gets a twofer; major payout to Wall Street & another wedge issue. Repugs can say the Dems are holding you back from having control over your retirement. If privatizing SS does go through, it will be years before those age groups see how they got screwed. By that time, rove probably figures they'll be loyal little repug voters.

4. Rove wants a "permanent GOP majority"
He wants the Republicans to control every aspect of public service from school board on up to the office of the Presidency. He wants the Democrats to be nothing more than an opposition party.

Basically, he had devoted his life to obtaining a one-party dictatorsihp and he will stop at nothing to achieve it.

But we can put a real thorn in those plans if we can pick up a few Senate seats in '06.

10. I heard he had to kick up a fuss to get the 'promotion' he got last
month. It seems everyone was getting a promotion but him. Now that he has crossed the line and has a policy position instead of just a political one (as if he never touched policy) - I wonder what else he'll want.

More, more, more for nefarious characters like him. Nothing will ever fill him up. I bet he will be consulting on every single GOP campaign in the next Presidential Election. That way he ensures that he keeps his office. He already grandiosed that the GOP would be in power for 20 years.

Meanwhile - America falls into hatred in the midwest and nobody prepares for the 21st Century.
