George W. Bush's Yalta
Been a good couple of months for Iran, and the Revolutionary Islamic govt there probably can't believe its lucky stars. Their spiritual allies under the aegis of native Iranian Grand Ayatollah Ali al Sistani was just handed power in Iraq due to a vote that owes its existence largely to a Bush election year gimmick here in the United States. And now the Russians are selling them nuclear power plant juice DESPITE a summit on that very subject between Vladimir Putin and the President of the United States? Like less than a week after that so-called summit? All those Europe photo-ops, all the tough talk from Bush about the state of democracy in Russia, and it was all bullshit?

Or maybe we should say Bushshill...

But what must be the most amazing revelation of all to Iran and those entities allied to it is just how powerless and disrespected the United States has become under Bush. And what greater indication of that than the fact that Russia is now selling arms and military technology to both Syria and Iran? Russia, like any power looking to expand its sphere of influence, is now moving in to fill a void in South Asia that the United States has become incapable of sustaining any longer due to its debilitating debacle in Iraq.

Was the real result of the Putin/Bush summit a de facto ceding of influence in South Asia from Lebanon to the Indian border over to the Russians?

Did Putin just serve Bush a hot platter full of Yalta?

1. The humiliation will be complete
when Iran and Russia sign a NATO-like pact/treaty that
stipulates that if Bush attacks Iran, it will be the same
as attacking Russia.
