Bushistas violate freedom of speech in Europe |
|
According to SME (www.sme.sk), people attending the * speech in Bratislava were prohibited from bringing posters of any kind to the event. One man who pulled several paper posters from under his coat, critical of *, was approached by an "English-speaking man in a suit", who took them from him, one after another. There were other people, however, who held a poster approving of *, who were not harassed.
When questioned about the freedom of speech violation, the interior ministry of Slovakia suggested that the questions be addressed to the US Embassy. The US Embassy said they should be "addressed to the White House, who organized the event."
This explains why * chose Bratislava to speak to people. Their complicit government will do anything to kiss up to him, even allow violation of freedom of speech, just so that the child-king looks popular.
UK, Poland and Slovakia. Shame.
