Bush/Cheney and international governments question
A caller just called in and brought in the point about is there a way to bring in international governments to help us and bare against our government? They all know Bush/Cheney are "mad" with power. The guy is going to talk some more after the break. He suggessted starting petitions (I guess we'd have to get congressmen/women and senators to also sign?). I don't know if there's anyway possible, but is there? What do you all think? Is this something that could possibly happen?

1. War crimes violate international law.
If any other governments had the guts, they could arrest Bush, Rumsfeld and the lot of them the next time they venture abroad. (The mere threat of this resulted in Rummy's cancellation of a planned trip to Germany.)

2. I wonder why they don't
That's the big question. Do you think if they knew more people were against them they would have more bravery?

3. Without a doubt I have had this thought but I think our politicians
on a BI-PARTISAN and almost unanimous level view asking for assistance from a foreign country as the literal end of The United States of America and what it stands for.

I'm not sure I agree with that completely, but I see why they believe that. It is admitting we are in need of profound change in order to save the oldest democracy in the history of the world.

I actually heard a European discuss this very issue on New Years Eve at a party I was at. He was VERY convinced this needed to occur here. He was also PROFOUNDLY pissed that American citizens have seemingly lost the ability to admit they had handed over the reigns of the oldest democracy in the world to *!
