Maybe I just don't understand the Democratic Party or I
don't belong. I just can't understand why the Democratic Party is not sending out information regarding Al Franken coming to Phoenix. This amazes me. They should be inviting Laura Flanders and other outspoken women here they don't. They should be inviting everyone from Air America here. They want the media, than invite them and advertise it. When is Howard Dean coming? Arizona could easily be democratic, but there is no push. Arizona went for Clinton before, that should tell the Dems something, but they remain stuck in a box. They need to get out of the box and stick their necks out. When I was in management one of the things stressed was, get out of the box, the only map the growth is get out of the box.

I am just totally frustrated. The dems need to rattled a few cages.

1. Franken and Flanders are not bona fide
Senators or Reps. I would like to hear them live, but I think more weight goes towards our Dem reps (and any action takes $). Now, a MoveOn org, etc. (and there are many) could/should be spreading the message far and wide. The more people who are aware of a differing opinion, the better. And judging from the split in this country, there are many who would be interested.

2. Are the Democrats more interested sitting
on their own pity pot, or are they going to fill the pot and move?

3. I'm not sure I get whatever it is
they are doing or not doing either. At this point I expected some mailings, some advertising. Why not ads about the bankrupcy bill, a this is what the Republicans in congress are doing to ordinary Americans, they aren't for you! type of ad. Same old faces representing us on tv. We keep writing and sending ideas but nothing. What are they afraid of?

4. Franken is an entertainer, not sponsored by the Democratic Party.
So why should the party be advertising his appearances? Doesn't make sense. And as such, they can't invite Laura Flanders or any other radio personalities.

As far as Dr. Dean, he's only been DNC chairman less than a month. He'll get to you. Chill.

8. Sorry, the pukes have control of the media,
they have control of the churches, they are now controlling the blacks and Hispanics, all from inviting people to speak. We are not doing this, we keep with the same people over and over and over. The pukes are reaching out to whoever is willing to talk.

Geez, the swamp is sucking us under.

Why should the party be advertising appearances? because they believe in the Democratic party. I don't know who you are, but the Dems need all the media support they can get. It is people like Al and Laura who constantly support the Democratic Party and I thought their philosophy but maybe I need to change parties. People like Al and Laura voice many of the concerns of the American citizens, they do receive phone calls and messages to what is important. Guess the Democratic Party is not interested. If the Dems want my vote, they need to listen.

Sorry NYCGirl, live in another that is not quite as blue.

10. Yes, Al is an entertainer
but would this stop the pukes? The pukes bring on the likes of Roberston, Fawell, think I spelled his name incorrectly. Then, listen to radio, what is the growth in religious advertising. This is all crafted from the WH and the RNC. I can't accept your argument.

Yes, Dean will be here. Yes, he will.

5. I understand your frustration
But Al Franken is not directly affiliated with the Democratic Party so there may be some legal issues for them or him if they publicized him.

I'm an Arizonan and am completely fed up with the Republican stranglehold on this state. There is a new group here in the East Valley called the GemDems (Greater Eastern Maricopa Democrats) that was formed to raise money and help local candidates run for offices. It's disgusting that in so many districts in Maricopa County in the past election, offices went unchallenged by a Democrat. We are working to change that. If you live nearby and want to get involved you can check them out at GemDems.com or GemDems.org.

6. Unless Franken or any other "persona;ity" was appearing at a DNC function
why is it the party's job to promote appearance. The Arizona State Democratic party should announce such things.

Air America Radio has it's own email list for listeners, it should be emailed and announced on the station.

14. Because the RNC does it doesn't make it right, or legal.
The next time the RNC advertises a Bruce Willis movie, let me know.

15. What is the relationship between the Dems and Air America?
You have to be really careful when advertising for each other under campaign finance laws.
