Is what Rendell (PA) is doing to pro-choice candidates |
|
for the Democratic Primary right? He has made 2 drop out already? I thought primaries were how we chose a candidate, not before the primary.. This is UNdemocratic as far as I am concerned. Chuck Pennachio is still gonna run though.

1. I think he's got the Dem Party confused with the Mafia |

Forcing candidates out of the race doesn't seem right to me.

I don't really care for Rendell, and I don't want to be perceived as defending him, but didn't he actually *talk* candidates out of the race rather than *forcing* them out?

2. Obviously, The Idea Is.... |
|
...is to save "financial resources" for the main event. The Republican's would enjoy nothing better than for the Democratic primary candidates beat up on one another and waste tons of money in doing so. If they did that, once a candidate is nominated, the Republican, Tricky Ricky Santorum in this case, uses that material against the democratic candidate.
Bob Casey Jr received more votes in the last November election than any PA candidate in history. Huge name recognition and a formidable record.

the Dems need an open primary. I actually support Casey, but it's wrong to weed out opponents like this.

10. No - I am starting to think My governor is a DINO |
|
He got his budget passed after he promised Repubs who voted for it that he would not campaign against them. Name me one Republican who would be so stupid.
Barbara Hafer was the ONE Republican I voted for in my LIFE, when she ran against Bob Casey Sr. Now she has switched parties, to what she THOUGHT was the pro-choice party and this is how she gets rewarded. This on to of his abysmal performance as DNC chair in 2000 makes me unlikely to ever vote for him again. I won't vote for his Republican opponent but I won't vote for him. Maybe I'll write in Barbara Hafer.
