4. Obama a C? And wasn't Hillary attending to her hubby? Even then.
What'd Obama do to get such a low score?

And if Mr. Bill had surgery of late, I can see why Hillary was not there to vote, though if she had some sense she could have found a way to vote. She must love him a lot to help screw over us.

6. Hillary and Obama both got a C since they voted for Condi.
Hillary got extra credit for speaking up at the certification hearing. Obama spoke too huh?

10. Yeah, he did.
But the real head-scratcher here is that all three of the B Senators voted YES on that godawful bankruptcy bill - seems to me that mattered a more than the Rice vote.

You've left out some major committee votes too, like the "Clear Skies" (ecchh!) vote yesterday in E&PW, for example.

It's all a matter of what I think is important. Voting for Rice is a
mortal sin, to me. I am going to add more votes to it. What I find interesting is that is kind of maps out the party -- the leftists, the centrists and the conservatives (or traitors)

9. Thanks -- I even used the search -- thinking that I was just
missing his name.

So he gets a D.

Not good for a "leader" is it?

14. I think supporting Rice was close to treason. She knew about
9-11 and did nothing and she perpetuated the lies on Iraq - she is the devil incarnate as far as I am concerned. sorry

16. wtf Feingold a C?
um the one sole senator who voted against the patriot act? He has an independent mind. I would think that's a plus. He votes in what he believes in.

purely because it was the grade of the next notch down.

27. Which is why these "report cards" are bullshit
This is just another way of saying, lets bash every dem senator who isn't 100% in lockstep with the DU ideologoy.

I like a lot of people on this list, including Barbara Boxer, but I'd take Feingold over her for President any day.

18. I'd switch the B and C criteria
Condi being confirmed was symbolic, but it really didn't mean anything. While confirming Gonzalez makes the country look worse for celebrating a man who approves of torture, moving an existing member of Bush's national security team to another position really doesn't change anything. Rice had more influence than Powell anyway. And plus, she doesn't influence Bush, she just does whatever he tells her. If it wasn't her, he would have put some other spineless flunky in the spot.
I think the bankrupcy bill is much more important, for it will actually affect the lives of normal Americans.
