Krugman couldn't be happier about Bush's designs on Social Security.
Because he feels that Bush will lose big on this one. I hope that's true. I want this to be for Bush what healthcare reform was for Clinton, only far more detrimental to him and the Republican party.

1. I'm wary about this
Bush has taken shit issues before and turned them into gold.

Regardless of how it looks now, all it will take is another terrorist attack to make all us forget about it. And since they organized and ran the last one, they know what to do.

8. It depends on how far the media will go to make THIS shit look like gold.
It wasn't Bush who made his shit into gold, it was a corporate media too fearful to expose the truth.

Most of the public KNOWS how SS works, so it's harder for the media to keep Bush's lies propped up. If they could, though, they would.

11. I am hitting everyone in my immediate area with a vote Nelson or lose
social security. If we return a Republican, we will give the Republican Party the "mandate" to destroy social security. I am getting a good response from the reddest of the red state I live in.

17. Spent part of my Masters degree studying the LDS Church
The people who go there are nice (perhaps to a fault), but their church is another story.

The SBC (Southern Baptist Convention) is very worried about the LDS Church because so many Baptists crossover.

Another fact that surprises many Americans is just how many LDS people there are in the Secret Service, CIA and FBI. Since LDS men and women generally have squeaky clean backgrounds, it's easy for them to get the necessary security clearances.

26. try www.exmormon.org
My hubby left that church/ bad on the psyche. Exmormon.org tells about the history and practices the true believers don't want to talk about.

6. I sure hope so.
He also said that this would hurt him more in the red states. They need it more and everyone has a mom. They didn't vote for dismantaling Social Security they voted for someone that was strong on terror and against gay marriage. This could take the mask off. At this point it's merely a ray of hope, we've thought too many times that this or that would surely make people understand what they were really about and it ended up being nothing more than a ripple. They are so good at what they are doing, evil and good at it.

in a box there. If there is no attack then maybe the fear level will drop and if there is one he has failed to protect.

either they have stepped on the third rail, and people will start to put down the koolaid, or we are doomed.
having been to a town meeting, i believe we will soon be treated to the fragrant perfume of burning elephant.
i keep thinking about that picture of dan rostenkowsy, stuck in his car, surrounded by seniors, hanging on his hood.

15. I'd be more hopeful if I really believed that the healthcare reform
plan was responsible for the '94 elections. Unfortunately, I remember '94 as the first flexing of the religious right, tied to the Contract On America.

We need a contract of our own.

20. wheather people like it or not
The only thing that really matters is will the vote go through congress or not.

They have already done a lot of things that public didn't approve of. I don't see why what the people think will stop them from going through with it.
