If Bush (for some reason) changed his party affiliation to (D)... |
|
...as part of some rovian scheme.
Would you support him "to keep the white house?"
Would you support a primary challenger?
Would you be upset at people who did support a primary challenger?
Would you say "Why do you people get to decide what a 'real Democrat' is?"
Would you accuse supporters of a primary challenge of "working for a filibuster-proof Republican majority?"

And I'd still oppose him. He's a born liar, and that wouldn't change.

anyone that lied in order to invade another country. I will not support anybody that is against a woman's right to choose. I will not support anybody that puts faith over science when it comes to making a decision. I will not support anybody that wants to run this country into debt by borrowing trillions of dollars to destroy social security and pay for the illegal invasion of Iraq.

5. There is nothing that puts Bush in tune with that label. |
|
People like Casey and Reid are still progressives on a number of issues, albeit conservative on others. Obviously the line has to be drawn somewhere, and I think it can be safely drawn as to include Casey and Reid and exclude Bush.
Or wait, did the (D) stand for the dumbass party?

6. It should be noted that in the Casey race |
|
we are asked to support some who did just that as opposed to Casey. Hafer was a Republican until 2003 and changed parties to be more easily elected.

13. switching parties would enrage the neocon base |
|
I still remember how pissed neocons were because Bush I made a single budget deal with Democrats in 1990. How would they feel if junior switched sides just after winning their votes?
It wouldn't make any difference to me. He couldn't run again, and I would still expect this criminal to be impeached!
