3. Howard Dean's supporters.....
are EXTREMLY BELIGERENT! Even though he is FAR from my first choice, I will FULLY support Howard Dean should he be our nomminee.

By the way, this beligerency of the Dean campaign is a major reason as to why I am turned off by it!

Sorry, but the beliigerence of that statement is enough to turn anyone sour. It's so far off base, it's difficult to even respond.

could be mistaken for "666"...in which case, its not belligerence, but an apt description of that Republican thug.

Not all Dean supporters are also opponents of every other Democratic candidate out there.

On edit: corrected spelling.

13. It will become more recognizable to you in the years ahead.
If it were Dean or nobody who would take up the Presidency next year, that would be fine.

But the office shall be held by someone. If not Dean, who?

the uninsured, the rest of the world. Four more years of Bush is far to damaging to play the high and mighty pure routine this year.

19. Whomever
I will not vote for the following:

Kerry
Clark
Edwards
Bush
Lieberman
Kucinich

I would vote third party, write in Dean's name, or leave the presidential race blank.

I draw the line at Dean after the way so-called Democrats have treated their own.

I just don't get this.
I'm coming from a place where I'm for Dean, I worked for the McGovern campaign, I voted for Nader in '96.
The Democratic party the past decade seems to me to have moved to the right in general, but there is no way I'm going to leave the ballot blank, write-in Dean's name or vote third party this time around.
Sometimes politics is the art of compromise, sometimes it's standing your ground; it seems to me that this year is not the time for this standing of ground. The stakes are too high.
Isn't that evident?
Well, if Bush becomes president for the next 4 years, maybe it will create some kind of revolution

--- from the I Ching on Revolution --

"Political revolutions are extremely grave matters. They should be undertaken only under stress of direst necessity, when there is no other way out"

Are these one of those times? If so, then only vote Democratic if Dean gets the nomination.

Your stand is clearly about petty fundamentalism. Improving your country be damned, I guess. Whatever. Just don't try to tell me there is any principle there other than pure selfishness. You just showed that to us all.

32. An ABB vote is a vote for veto power against this...
...haughty, arrogant man.

I wish I had a link to streaming video of this moment. It's engrained in my memory forever.

Bush had just mentioned that parts of the Patriot Act were set to expire in 2005. Surprisingly, several Democrats joined in a round of applause, stunning Bush for just a moment. He then leveled his planned rejoinder ("but the terrorist threat will never expire"), called on Congress to pass the Patriot Act permanently, and the Republican side of the room got to its feet.

The cameras focused on Delay for the length of the ovation.

There was nothing but naked comtempt and smugness in his demeanor. This man is the enemy of government of the people, by the people, and for the people.

He must be restrained.

33. If you are implying that a Dem nominee could remove Bug Boy from power...
...then you had better ensure that nominee is someone who can bring more voter to the polls than Gore did. And I can promise you right now, John Kerry is not that candidate. Dean is. Clark might be. Edwards? I doubt it.

Simple equation, to take back the House we need to bring a lot of voters into the equation. And even Republicans who cross over to vote against Bush may not neccessarily vote a straight Democratic ticket. Though I would hope even they realize that DeLay is every bit as vile as Junior is.

34. In the nation's history, Ronald Reagan got more voters to the poll...
...than anyone else. Ever.

Who's number 2 on that list?

Al Gore.

In the short term, this election promises veto power over the actions of Tom Delay and a Republican-led, right-wing-driven Congress. This objective alone is worth an ABB vote.
