Just now on CNN, Candy and dirt bag novak talking about how Henery Hyde as not signed on as a co-sponsor of a bill that would do away with term limits including letting Clinton run for a third term as president. Both of them laughed and remarked that "that is nothing any Republican wants to see"

Republicans would LOVE to see a Clinton vs Bush match.
All they have to do is cheat.
Bush stays in the Whitehouse, and they get to kick all over Clinton AGAIN.
On Edit - It is the Democratic Party who should be scared to death of this bill.
In a fair election, Clinton would stomp Bush, I've no doubt. But when was the last time we had a fair election?

12. Republicans would not like to see |
|
Clinton being able to run for a third term. I disagree with the fact they would pull out all the negatives against Clinton. We all know the negative, and it sure as hell was him not doing his job as President. It was fellatio then, and now. Americans tried to tell the Republicans they knew Clinton was doing his job as President with an approval rating in some polls from 65 to 70% in January 2001. One thing is for certain, you would not see Clinton sit on his ass for a full month while some group is calling into question your patriotism and whether or not you earned your medals while serving in the military. Plus, you would not see some lame ass convention where it would be all sweet and rosy as the one we all had to endure back in 2004. When you did have someone that was critical of Bush as Sharpton. What did the pink tutu Democrats do? Side with Sharpton and agree. Hell no, they sided with the mediawhores and was critical of Sharpton as they were. You would not see Clinton fall into a damn trap as Kerry did about the, "if you knew then, what you know now" concerning Iraq. There would be no question as to whether Clinton would win. He would!!! Enough said.

20. We would vote, and Clinton would win..... |
|
then they would count, and Clinton would lose.
Do you think, in your nastiest nightmare or wildest dreams, that Bush would let a THIRD term go?
Do you think Bush would let the opportunity slip by to beat the man that beat his Daddy?
If you think Bush would walk away from that, or let that opportunity go by without sealing the deal in advance, you don't understand the guy at all.

19. Do you REALLY think they would let Clinton win |
|
I have NO DOUBT Clinton would stomp Bush in any debate, or any fair vote (well, not ANY fair vote - Clinton would never beat Bush for the GOP nomination, though it would be close)and that Clinton IS the big dog, but when the little dog counts the votes, and gives not shit #1 about fainess or legallity, then the final vote count will surprise you. But it won't surprise me.
Clinton would "lose," even if he wins.
Why don't you see this?

The clouds could part and George W. Bush could descend to earth on a ray of light and still lose to Bill Clinton in a landslide...

21. Do we want to stomp Bush SO BADLY that we throw away our future? |
|
Term limits are good. Two terms is enough.
George Washington didn't need to be asked to leave, he had the insight to know that two terms was all one man EVER deserved.
We got lucky with FDR. LUCKY.
Fight this bill in every way possible.

23. Won't this take more than just a bill? |
|
IIRC, it's the 22 Ammendment that prevents a president from sitting a 3rd term. I don't think we'll see a constitutional ammendment for this in our lifetime, and anything short of that won't get the job done.
