Klayman also is trying to get Mel Martinez to intervene! What a Circus! To JIB-JAB-JEB, I say DOT IT! What are you afraid of??? Maybe big BROTHER, who amazingly has NOT even uttered a word for days!

I'm NOW beginning to ENJOY this part of the development!

1. I thought Klayman considered himself a guardian of the law...
...or some shit like that?

Just another reich wing hypocrite. No surprise there.

2. It's a lose-lose situation.

He either did too little or too, like that article said.

I, meanwhile, am enjoying a strawberry daqueri and watching baseball on this fine Easter afternoon.

5. It's my mother's birthday today. She died in 2000, and this is
the first time I can remember her birthday being on Easter. She had a very specific living will, and she died with no artificial life support whatsoever. She was adamant about that.

She's very much with me today. Happy Easter!

13. Happy Easter to you too! My Grandmother on my fathers side was..
thrown out of a car from an auto accident several years ago. She was technically alive on the machine she was on for 3 days but gone in other respects. My father and uncles (her immediate family) were allowed to decide that the machine be turned off and allow her to go after the third day. I know that we all loved, love, and miss her. But after what happened to her she wasn't the same grandma anymore and never could be again because of all the extensive and irreparable damage she suffered. She also is with me along with my sister and others. They never leave me. Happy Easter to you and peace.

We get to open the season against the Yanks at Yankee stadium against Randy Johnson. Should be an interesting opener.

Where are you hearing this? I don't think Jeb is going to do anything. The courts have ruled against him more than once; he's probably getting a little embarrassed.

26. Oh, I Just Saw The Pictures Of Your Labs...
We just bought a Chocolate Lab, and she's really beautiful, but a real handful. She thinks the world revolves around her. And to some extent it does, but she just gives you that certain look and you go, AAAAWWEE! I've lost 7 lbs. since we got her and she's only 5 months old!!

10. Klayman lamenting the fact that he didn't have 'standing' in
1997 or his grandmother would be alive today. Yeah, that's what we need....a brain dead 106 year old on a feeding tube.

Larry's entire rant was a laff riot from beginning to end.

7. Jeb's asking for POWER to do it.
Either the Florida legislature doesn't hear it or they don't have the votes to give him more power. I suspect the latter.

8. Go ahead, Jeb. Make my day.

It would be sweet to see the Jebinator call out the FL National Guard (oh, wait; they're in Iraq) or the state troopers -- reveal him to all as the fascist goon we know him (and the dumber brother) to be. Of course, he's totally buggered himself by promising the fundie wack jobs he'd help them, but now that all the polls are against him, suddenly he won't take their phone calls. And Monkey Boy is presumably back at the pig farm hanging with his pal Jack Daniels. So in this great spasm of shark-jumping, which energized the loony-toon base at the expense of pissing off the other 80%, Jebbie just put himself on the bottom of the pile of '08 nominees.

Karma's a bitch, isn't it, Jeb?

18. Yeah.. Be Careful Of What...
YOU WISH FOR!!!

Sorry if this offends anyone, but I'm TOTALLY SICK of this Circus, and it ALL became such a Front Page issue BECAUSE Jeb stuck his nose in it in the first place!

I don't think I've ever seen such overwhelming nonsense in my life. People in this situation, on both sides, have had to deal with this trauma thousands of times. I think that they have actually made a mockery out of Terri Schiavo. Furthermore, I firmly believe she would have been horrified that her misfortune has been SO blown out of proportion.

This has been emotionally draining for both sides, but DID IT REALLY NEED to happen???

This situation has gone on since time immemorial, but suddenly the Republicans decide to play politics with this most personal of family situations. Why is that? Are they trying to jumpstart a social civil war?

19. Introducing the Constitution Restoration Act
Introducing the Constitution Restoration Act
Say Hello to Taliban America and GoodbyeTo Godless Judges, Courts and Law
By W. David Kubiak
March 24, 2005
Tired of waiting for the Second Coming to enforce Christ's rule on Earth? Fortunately, so is your Congress and they know how to "bring it on."

Just when you thought the corporatist/Christian Coalition had milked the 9/11 "surprise" for all it was worth in powers, profits and votes, we regret to report that you may have to think again. Just in case you've briefly fallen behind on your rightwing mailing lists, you might have missed the March 3rd filing of Senate bill S. 520 and House version is H.R. 1070, AKA the "Constitution Restoration Act" (CRA).

In the worshipful words of the Conservative Caucus, this historic legislation will "RESTORE OUR CONSTITUTION!", mainly by barring ANY federal court or judge from ever again reviewing "any matter to the extent that relief is sought against an entity of Federal, State, or local government, or against an officer or agent of Federal, State, or local government (whether or not acting in official or personal capacity), concerning that entity's, officer's, or agent's acknowledgment of God as the sovereign source of law, liberty, or government."

20. I'm Not THAT Insensitive...
I do realize a woman is dying, HOWEVER had not Jeb and his minions not gotten involved, perhaps she could have "died with dignity"!

From what has been reported, and a fact that seems to be true, she suffered from bulimia. She was trying to lose weight to be more attractive. From what I saw of her, she really didn't need to go to such extremes. No matter, I can only think if I was so concerned about my looks, that it would be terribly disconcerting to me to have my face shown over and over in a vegetative state.

My only point in the post was to try to hold the Governor of my state accountable for this CIRCUS! I don't think I politicized her, nor do think her death is meaningless. What I do think, is that this could have been prevented. I really feel a tremendous amount of compassion for her and ALL her family members. But to vilify her husband is an Outrage, and it was all started when Jeb decided to intervene. And herein lies the duplicity of his actions.

I think he should bear some responsibility for the consequences of his actions, especially since he has now seemingly has "ducked" the issue. He has distanced himself from her now since the polls show that most Americans don't agree with him. That is the real travesty here!

22. Jeffie's a big chicken-shit. He'll just run his mouth.
He knows he'd be in jail for contempt and that there are a lot of law enforcement officers who will obey the court, to do otherwise undermines their entire system. So I'd love to see this happen but Jebbie is like Georgie, he lets others bear the risk but fails to put himself on the line.

25. Well, So Am I,,,,
Been around here long enough to think I've seen it all! It's no longer about Terri, now it's about the ChristInsanities!! This is truly amazing, I can't remember anything like this in my lifetime!

Now I hear they are going to Wash. D.C. tomorrow to PROTEST so The Idiot will take some action. We must also blame MSM, and especially CNN for the constant drum-beat and whipping these people into a fanatical frenzy! I really think it's beginning to scare The Bushies!!! And I'm already A-Feared!

I'm a Boomer, and a little long in the tooth in comparison to some of you at DU, but in all my years I've never seen the likes of this.

I really hate to make any predictions, but stirring this pot to it's boiling point can only be compared to Germany before WWII! And I wasn't even thought of at that time! One can only fervently hope that the spill over won't completely destruct the America I once knew. We really need to get back to ground zero and start all over again, because if we don't a melt-down is on it's way!

27. Hmm. I think of this as a good thing. Makes the fanatics look
crazy and shows the lack of moral compass for the Bush boys. As soon as the polls showed most people against this they cave. On the other hand - I don't see why the parents can't have a say. On the other hand, the husband has nothing to gain from fighting this. So that makes me think he truly believes that she needs to be released from this world.
