Schiavo's father sells list of donors to Right to Life Groups!
Schindler’s List
28 March 2005

“It’s only a movie”… No, it’s not the movie… It’s Bob Schindler's pro-life donors list.

The NY Times is reporting that Bob Schindler have “authorized a conservative direct-mailing firm to sell a list of their financial supporters.”

"These compassionate pro-lifers donated toward Bob Schindler's legal battle to keep Terri's estranged husband from removing the feeding tube from Terri," says a description of the list on the Web site of the firm, Response Unlimited, which is asking $150 a month for 6,000 names and $500 a month for 4,000 e-mail addresses of people who responded last month to an e-mail plea from Ms. Schiavo's father. "These individuals are passionate about the way they value human life, adamantly oppose euthanasia and are pro-life in every sense of the word!"

1. man's gotta eat
When his daughter dies I guess he thinks he oughta get something out of it.
I've been giving them the benefit of the doubt up until now. Demanding part of the award meant for Michael and Terri showed their greed enough. I thought at least here he could wait until after the funeral.

9. Screw Bob Schindler......
Edited on Tue Mar-29-05 08:37 AM by OneTwentyoNine
Everyone is a murderer in his eyes. His latest about the hospice where Terri is:

Bob Schindler on Monday commented about the facility she is in -- Hospice House Woodside -- saying, "I have a grave concern that they'll expedite the process to kill her with an overdose of morphine."

Their trying to kill his "cash cow" daughter and so is Michael. Years back Bob knew he couldn't get his hands on any of that $700K for Terri's care so he DEMANDED half of Michael's $300K. When Michael refused the battle really began. I have ZERO respect for Bob Schindler, his daughter dies and so goes his big money chances. He sees all of that slipping quickly away...

16. They lost my sympathy long ago
When the mother was saying "please don't make this about politics" and blah blah blah. And then finding out she'd deny her own daughter's wishes and all that. I thought it was so disgusting. Now they're selling crap to make a cheap buck off their daughter. Then they allowed all the protesting to go on outside the hospice and being really rude to other people there who have family members and all that. They're going to keep whoring this out as long as they can.

6. How sad. Terri's family has been living off her tragedy
The right wing extremists and their backers became the economic lifeline of Terri's family. Talk about parasites.

8. more commodification of rr supporters.
There has got to be a better term than "commidification" (making into a commodity - and selling it for $$) but there is a whole lot of it going on - with old Ralph Reed making it into a multimillion enterprise.

He charges "clients" huge fees (was it 4 million on the casino gig? I know he wanted more than half a million from enron - on behalf of getting dereg in Pennsylvania)- to mobilize - through churches and the pulpit - huge numbers of "grassroots" voters to support whatever bill he is being paid to pimp for. In short, the voters are turned into commodities to be bought and sold in terms of "activism" and then those voters are manipulated then mobilized from the pulpit to take action - oft on issues that have NOTHING to do with Christianity.

The closest I have seen to this being blown out into the public was with the Casino = DeLay story breaking national a couple of weeks ago.

I don't know that all who are being used this way, if they realized that they were being mobilized to act - solely for someone else to make big promotion or lobby fees, would be altogether comfortable with the practice.

...but any boiler-room snake-oil salesman. If you're stupid enough to donate money to this cause, just think what kind of crap you'd buy, in the name of Jesus or otherwise.

Unsalable (or nonexistent) vacation time-shares, worthless "pump and dump" stock, useless or even dangerous "medical" aparatus, pills, and/or diet programs, get-rich-quick schemes, you name it. Your crazy Aunt Ethel is about to get taken for a ride, or at least her mailbox will be full every day.

I'd expect it from Tom DeLay, but I was hoping that Schindler was all about his daughter.
