I hope that Falwell has a NDE, fully recovers and comes back a changed |
|
man who has seen the error of his ways. I hope that he then uses the rest of his life to try and fix the ravages that he and others of the right-winged "Christian" radicals have caused in this world.
Hey, I believe miracles are possible.....

...too kind! But I admire your magnanimosity. (Woohoo, I've wanted to use that word in a sentance for years!)

6. A sentiment I wholeheartedly agree with! |
|
Despite my loathing of the man, I wanted to take the high road with this Falwell thing, and you have provided me with the avenue.
Thanks! :toast:
Yes, a nice l-o-n-g NDE with the tunnel, the white light, the full life review, maybe even a Jesus figure smacking him upside the head for getting it so wrong for all these years...and giving him a second chance to get it right.
Now THAT would be delicious!

We wouldn't be having this nightmare full of neo-con goblins & pitchfork-wielding religious extremists. The neo-con nuts-in-charge would all have been impeached long before a second election was stolen, & John Kerry would now be president.
:hi: hiya pretzels!

8. His reported words in his Easter sermon |
|
almost sound like a dare to God. Hope he learns that taunting God and God's creatures (other people) is not a good idea.
But it is so profitable for him, that I sadly doubt he would get that, or any other deep message.
Still can't bring myself to wish him ill. Just don't know that a miracle of a philosophical change is terribly likely.

9. Remember when you start um...considering the possible |
|
passing of such people as Falwell...that they can and do afford a level of health care that 99% of this country can't even dream of. Notice how all the corrupt ol neocons never seem to die? They just linger on, getting older and more corrupt. That's because they have actual medical care...something which your average HMO schmoo can't imagine.
So don't count him out yet. I'd settle for a NDE myself but I'm afraid he'd just interpret it as a further sign of his own divinity and become even more arrogant on his return.
I'm having a glass-half-empty kinda day.

10. If he does, he will come back saying that he talked to God |
|
and will use his NDE as proof that he is God's messenger.
