History Channel ?Bin Laden's father and bro. killed in US not SaudiArabia
Edited on Tue Mar-29-05 02:45 PM by EVDebs
History Channel's bio on Osama bin laden said that Mohammed bin laden, Osama's dad, was killed in a 'helicopter crash in Saudi Arabia'.

According to PBS's Frontline weblink on the family history, both Mohammed the father and Osama's brother Salem were killed in plane crashes in TEXAS. Mohammed in 1968 and Salem in 1988

""Like his father in 1968, Salem died in a 1988 air crash...in Texas. He was flying a BAC 1-11 which had been bought in July 1977 by Prince Mohammed Ben Fahd. The plane's flight plans had long been at the center of a number of investigations. According to one of the plane's American pilots, it had been used in October 1980 during secret Paris meetings between US and Iranian emissaries. Nothing was ever proven, but Salem bin Laden's accidental death revived some speculation that he might have been "eliminated" as an embarrassing witness. In fact, an inquiry was held to determine the exact circumstances of the accident. The conclusions were never divulged.""

2. The question is where did father / son die in crashes. eom
Edited on Tue Mar-29-05 02:40 PM by EVDebs
The way the PBS item is worded, maybe the father did die in Saudi Arabia in an air accident OR maybe the father died in a crash in Texas ? Am I wrong or is the syntax capable of being read both ways ?

But the planecrash info website is clearly plain on it, 'San Antonio TX" ... just as with brother Salem.

Any enterprising "journalists" out there in TX or elsewhere (read not 'gannon/guckert' types) please explain.

7. Salem Bin Laden died in Texas
By all accounts, he was an excellent pilot, but for some reason, on his last takeoff, he took an unexpected sharp left turn into some high tension power lines.

Hmmm... an associate of the Bush Criminal Empire dying in a mysterious plane crash?

Nah, that's never happenned :eyes:

Salem basically funded Junior's first failed business. The money was laundered through longtime BCE associate James Bath.

5. Actually, BFEE needed to cover up W's BCCI dealings with Bin Laden
whom John Kerry had under investigation and, I believe, under hous arrest.

The roots of 9-11 are in BCCI.

6. The wording is ambiguous
"Like his father in 1968, Salem died in a 1988 air crash...in Texas."

A helicopter crash is considered to be an air crash.

What did you leave out in the ... part? I don't read the sentence to mean that the father died in Texas, only that the son did.

8. Well, the PBS site's wording is odd but the planecrash site wording
(re-read original post and rest of my responses) is clear...BOTH Mohammed and Salem were killed in plane crashes in Texas. Father in 1968 and son Salem in 1988.

So, why would History Channel mess up reporting the facts ?
