The religious right should know what happened to Hitler's brown shirts. |
|
Much of the power of our current criminal administration (as well as Tom DeLay & Company)comes from the backing of our home-grown Christian Taliban. In effect, they are currently serving the same purpose as that of Hitler's brown shirts.
Before Hitler had absolute power, the brown shirts were his bullies, taking names, kicking ass and accusing dissenters of being "commies."
Once Hitler had enough power, the brown shirts were no longer needed which led to "the night of the long knives." In effect, all of their leaders were murdered and the rest had to take a loyalty oath to the fuhrer.
The Jesus freaks who are currently the main enforcers of the radical right-wing agenda, don't realize they are dispensable. Fascism is a partnership between the state and big business which won't have any more need for fringe nuts once they consolidate their power.
Dobson, Robertson and their ilk may soon be considered non-essential personnel. Not that I have any pity for them. They were the ones who decided to throw in their lot with, what they would call, the Devil.
However, the ones really getting screwed are all the rest of us. So what do we do now? What can we do?

1. time to join the resistance, I think |
|
But yes, I agree with the analogy. A lot of the "faithful" have a little surprise coming if they stick with their fearless leader(s) too much longer...

2. The big problem is that the resistance doesn't have an address (yet). |
|
And as far as the surprise waiting for "the faithful," screw 'em. They've worked hard for that condemnation and they've earned it.

This concept deserves a thread of it's own. Watch for it in the next few days.

6. Maybe the non radical RW Christians will speak out.. |
|
more and start to vote the RWers out now that the so-called "Christian" RWers are exposing themselves recently as being Royalists and with a definte agenda of nuetering The Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

9. Sorry to hear you're homeless. |

The resistance needed no Address before. It need not have one now. In fact it's better to not have one, have we learned nothing from the right? Does AlCIAda have an address?
