WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Tom DeLay has decided to take a stand against the April Fool's Day political machine and Hollywood links to the satanic holiday by introducing legislation to ban the holiday from "the halls and hills of the American plain".

DeLay further said that "we don't need the French holiday to destroy the American 'culture of truth' and those that participate in fooling others with jokes and diversions are satanic".

DeLay has felt the holiday, while used as a offhanded way to pick up women in his days as "Hot Tub Tommy" in Texas, has been very upset by recent uses of the trickery the holiday has bestowed on him at staff meetings and DC restaurants.
